We go on the odd Saturday morning in the summer. The patio is always great. And the drunken Chicken crepe is great as well. Zero complaints!

Ws had to ask to have our table wiped down when we went to eat breakfast on the patio...
Table was sticky and dirty on the top and sides.....we had breakfast eggs...rye toast....was not really brown toasted...not offered jam or peanut butter for the toastcubed potatoes....bacon was a bit to greasy....had to ask for ketchup....and we had to wait for coffee refills as waiter only came out to take other people's orders....it was not busy at 10am....only 3 couples including us...I would say lacking in customer service....we have been there in the evening and service was much better....not sure we will do breakfast there again.

Food was amazing. Absolutely fabulous. I'm told there's a secret menu from the owners home country and it's mind blowing, but didn't have the chance. Tons of character, an antique shop and greenhouse included. Highly highly recommended. Top shelf indeed.

BBq 1/2 chicken had no flavor and the leg was not cooked well enough.

I used to love this place when I came as a kid, but it was different this time. The pizza crust was soggy and the toppings were all sort of solid together in a layer on top. It didn’t taste crispy, cheesy or fresh out of the oven like it used to. It was 30$ for a medium and I didn’t think it was better than a pizza you can order for cheaper to your house. We also got the battered mushrooms with ranch dip, they were ok but 11$ was really expensive for the tiny serving we got. The ranch dip it came with was just from a bottle/ kraft. My mom got a dessert crepe which she felt was too thick for a crepe, and it wasn’t served warm. She also wished the chocolates on the crepe were unwrapped and the fruits (melon and kiwi) were peeled so she could just dig in. The service is good and people were nice, but the food has changed.

Great food. Don't add extra onions. The up charge is ridiculous

If I could put Less than one star I would. Over priced, and poor quality food. Service was sub standard. I looked in the kitchen, and saw dirty counter tops, something red leaking across the floor. Please don't eat here.

Tried the drunken chicken crêpe, which is supposed to be their specialty and an Italian sausage crêpe. Both were both so salty with way too much crunchy garlic salt on it definitely do not recommend. My mouth was so garlicky for hours afterwards. I think choosing a sweet crêpe would’ve been a better choice.

My boyfriend and I took my siblings out for the day and came to Whytewold because we enjoyed it the year prior, but today it was very disappointing. The kids enjoyed their grilled cheese and pizza well enough, the pepperoni+bacon pizza was good for the price, but my burger was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the chicken burger, and not only was I not told that there were no jalapeños until after it arrived at the table (I would have ordered something else if I had been told), but there was also hardly any chicken in it.
We tried flagging the waiter over a number of times to no avail, and ended up sitting and waiting over 20 minutes after we finished eating before he came to a couple at the table behind us and I had to call him over. I explained my issues with the meal and asked for it to be taken off the bill, he seemed understanding and we asked to pay.
We had to wait an additional ~15 minutes, already annoyed at how long we had to wait before this, while he took orders from other tables.
I do try to be understanding but this was just an incredibly disappointing experience. The taste was fine but the service was unsatisfactory and ruined the experience for us. Additionally, we were there for over an hour but spent more than half that time waiting for service and the bill, so the rest of our plans for the day got pushed back. I hate writing negative reviews but I am just very saddened that this is how it went. It is a beautiful place overall and I wish it had been more enjoyable.

Food is ok. Pizza toppings great, but it's on this crust that tastes like cardboard. If they switch the crust, it'd be a top notch pizza. The savory crepes are nice. Flavors are good and unique but could be meatier. Dessert crepe, I'll pass next time. I hear that they do BBQ, which wasn't available when I was there. However, I intend to return to try.

Service A+. Friendly, responsive, enthusiastic staff. Nice, charming place with ample seating. They also sell trinkets and other items when you come. When in the area, give them a try.

Update (14/06/25): Ribs are good. Fall off the bone. Delicious sauce. Crispy fries.

Staying in town at a friends place.
Ordered takeout, and stayed for 2 beers on the dog friendly licensed outside lounge.
Food excellent. Service excellent. Main host guy, didn’t catch his name, and server girl- both outstanding.

Thanks!
