It was my final night in town and I had been working in the area off and on for a couple of months. Finally got the opportunity to try this restaurant and let me tell you this, I wish I would’ve made the effort to get down there earlier!
The atmosphere is super cosy and chill, and I am almost certain the very nice woman that served us was also the owner if I were to guess. Beautiful tattoos, I must say.
We didn’t try any appetizers, which after having the meal I wish that I would’ve ordered something. The meal itself is What I would expect in downtown Vancouver at some kind of expensive fusion restaurant or something. The plating and presentation were five stars all day long. The flavours and the textures were outstanding. The layered potatoes are nothing short of magical. The flavours and the textures of all of the food was spot on. I do not drink, but they had an extensive drink menu which my colleagues enjoyed and for myself, they had a decent selection of tea that worked out perfect.
There was no trouble parking. I can’t wait to go back up there to go and try the roast duck on top of gnocchi. That is what one of my friends had and it looked absolutely phenomenal. The steak I had was cooked perfectly and the flavour was fantastic and it was a good cut. This is as close as you get to downtown Vancouver or Toronto five star dining in a small town in northern Manitoba. Bravo to the chef and the owner.
I hope you understand that your food is the final thing for me that day and it turned an otherwise ho-hum kind of day into a memorable one with a fantastic meal. Thank you very much for your craftsmanship and humble service. I will be back for more without question. Thank you.

As a person who is Gluten Intolerant I refrain from dining out locally. I don’t feel confident that I won’t end up ill for days. I had such a positive experience at Aurora & Pine. The food, drinks and service were awesome. Our server Madison was extremely knowledgeable and so personable. If you haven't tried this Bistro, you should. It’s a true gem.

I ordered a take-out dinner for my husband's birthday last month. The fresh strawberry salad, the steak and shrimp with amazing sauce and the customized apple pie. He loved all of them! Aurora+Pine is definitely an awesome choice for good quality food!
