Feast your stomach out
I recently dined at there with a large group, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I ordered a double hamburger, eager for a satisfying meal, but what I received fell far short of expectations. I didn't understand what the patty was made of and how. It seemed like a big boiled meatball rather than a hamburger patty.The flavors were bland, lacking the seasoning or creativity that one would hope for in a burger. I found myself questioning the quality of the ingredients, as the entire experience felt underwhelming.
My wife shared similar sentiments about her meal, and it was clear we both felt let down. With so many other dining options available, it’s hard to understand how this particular burger could miss the mark so dramatically.
Adding to our frustration was the state of the restaurant during our visit. The staff was clearly overwhelmed with a long line of customers, making it impractical to address our concerns about the food. We understood the pressures they were under, but it meant that we left without voicing our disappointment directly.
Additionally, the ketchup dispenser was out of order, which felt like a small but telling detail about the overall management of the restaurant. Simple condiments should never be a hassle to access, and this only added to our dissatisfaction.
While I appreciate that busy times can lead to service lapses, the quality of food should never be compromised. I truly hope that restaurant owners can appreciate that food is more than just a commodity; it's an experience that transcends mere monetary value. I hope they can address these issues, as they have potential to improve. For now, though, I can't recommend it based on my experience.

We showed up in the off season with my elderly aunt and the owner was very kind to serve us even though he was closed and had another catering function because we were out of town and needed a wheelchair accessible restaurant. What a wonderful owner! Thanks so much ! Plus it’s the best pickerel

First time visiting Gimli, and decided to try Beach Boys. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. My husband loves Pickeral, so of course that is what he ordered. He would have enjoyed it alot better if the filets were not filled with bones! He had to carefully pick through every bite, so I really don't recommend it for kids or people that hate bones. My (Beef/Lamb) Gyro was tasty, however tasted more like beef, couldn't make out any lamb. The meat was quite dry. Overall it was a good meal.

Great food, great portion sizes, prices are fair. If sitting on the patio the atmosphere is excellent. Great view of the water. The staff for the most part were very friendly. They were super quick to clean tables as people left.

We love the pickerel dinner at beach boy! I don’t know how they cook their fish (I’ve tried to replicate it) but it’s delicious. My kids love it too - two year old ate a whole fillet. With that Greek salad fries and tartare sauce on the side … *chef’s kiss*

Ordered a chili dog and burger, salt was so thick couldn't eat it, told not one but 2 of the girls working there, they would let the owner/manager know, the girls continued to walk by us as did the owner/manager. Kind of strange they would not even come back to our table to address our concerns, completely ignored us. Very strange way to run a business.

If you're visiting Manitoba, don't leave without trying the pike here in Gimli. Hot and delicious in an atmosphere that has nothing to envy of the northeastern United States! Definitely going back!
