The food was great but it would be nice to have the workers put their hair together and not dip them in my ice cream. As well as their pans have to be longer because she was touching her bare legs with her hands and then my ingredients. And wiping her hands on the back of her shorts. Gloves would be great as well. I really want to Come back here more often and hope this things can be addressed

Stumbled on this place on the way back from our cabin trip. Our haddock was good but the fries and onion rings were way too oily and you could taste the oil wasn't changed for a while. Also, I don't understand the concept of piling on 500g of fries on a single dish. Way too much even for two people.
Classic fish and chips, friendly service and quaint and clean atmosphere without being too fussy. Also very reasonably priced for the portions. A great spot for lunch if you’re up in Gimli!

I had a good experience at Kris’ Fish & Chips. The fish was nicely cooked and the portion size was generous. The fries could have been a bit crisper, but overall, the meal was satisfying. The wall decorated with international currency! Service was decent, though not particularly memorable. Would consider coming back for another round!

Loved the fish here! I’m a big fan of seafood, and this place really delivered. The local fish was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and with a super cool wall full of paper money from around the world. Staff were really friendly too. Definitely a great spot if you visit Gimli.

Tammy was delightful and very attentive to us. The food was amazing! I ordered a poutine and it’s definitely worth it, such a big portion (not complaining) ! Very clean, same with washrooms. Would recommend 11/10!

Honestly a bit of a shit show. Food came out randomly and initially to the wrong table. We had to ask about some missing orders and not everything was correct. We were afraid to send stuff back for fear of never seeing it again.
Already a mad house in April. Don't want to see what it will be like when the busy season arrives.

I love this place, it's similar to how it looked before the fire. The menu for summer and winter are a bit different. I love their specialty poutines, the kickin' chicken is awesome, crispy fries, chicken, shredded cheese, and the spicy sauces, will make your mouth water! I just wish it was around during winter. They are open year round! They have great specialty ice cream creations, and are extremely busy in the summer months! Update: Yah, Specialty Kickin Chicken is back, with crispy chicken in a buffalo sauce, on top of fries, with gravy, and cheese curds! Delicious! They have different Specialty poutines, I just like the spicy ones!
Take a drive up from Winnipeg and check this place out! Awesome staff and excellent food. The prices are worth the trip. Special #7 2 piece fish chips AND a BEER. WOW. You can't beat the place
