One of the best beet salads I've had, it was a perfect balance of goat cheese, candied pecans and arugula with a light dressing and gold beets, with the right size to start off the evening. The stuffed chicken breast was right on point. The daily special of a 6oz tenderloin, half a lobster tail and prawns were done to perfection. To the kitchen staff 5 stars. Our servers were very pleasant and were attentive making our evening special.

Celebrated our 22 year anniversary. Literally everything that touched my lips was delicious. Tremendous value in comparison to other high end restaurants in town. Would definitely dine again and recommend to others.

This was our first visit to the Gates and we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter was totally awesome, the dinner was so good , only observation was the steak was a little cool and too much broccoli .If you want a great atmosphere, servers that we believe may be the best in Winnipeg and food that doesn't disappoint book your next eating experience at the Gates.

We had the privilege of having a birthday event here. The grounds are beautiful and great for photos. The dinner experience was amazing with outstanding service and excellent dinner. We had the filet and the pickerel for dinner. Both were good but the steak was our first choice. The calamari appetizer was also very good. You cannot go wrong eating or having an event here.

An Unforgettable Night and a Complete 360 Turnaround
We recently attended a wedding at The Gates on Roblin, held in their main building, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best weddings we've been to in years. Having had a disappointing experience at a previous event in the back tent, we were cautiously optimistic, but The Gates completely exceeded our expectations and has more than redeemed itself. This was a truly unbelievable night. The food was absolutely incredible. The hors d'oeuvres were to die for, especially the pierogies and garlic sausage, scotch bonnet eggs, and mini Yorkshire puddings. The family-style dinner service was a huge hit. The Caesar and summer salads were outstanding—even for someone who isn't a big salad fan. The seasoning was perfect, and the quality of the ingredients truly shone through. The roasted garlic and basil mashed potatoes were so good, and the lemon herb chicken in a cream sauce was delicious. The prime rib roast with homemade Yorkshire pudding and a peppercorn cream sauce was simply divine. We capped off the meal with an incredible assortment of desserts, including handmade truffles, macaroons, and over five different selections of cheesecakes and tarts. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The serving and bar staff were absolutely incredible and made the night unforgettable. And the best part of all the air conditioning was working fabulous in the hot humid smoky weather. The Gates on Roblin has truly outdone itself, and this complete 360-degree turnaround makes it one of the best wedding venues we have ever attended. We look forward to going back for future events!
