Golden Spoon Restaurant

Today we went to Lockport to fish, and there was nothing to eat… So we came upon this Chinese restaurant. Oh my god the food was good. We ordered stir fry, fried rice, Shanghai noodles, they were so delicious. We also ordered bread shrimp and they were the best we’ve ever had. We absolutely devoured that meal 😍

There is something seriously wrong with the chicken balls. The meat was really tough and looked weird. Nothing I ordered was any good except the deluxe rice, that was very good

Despite the poor reviews we decided to give Golden Spoon a chance. We were very disappointed. The lemon chicken meat was hard and everything tasted similar as though they only use one spice blend on all dishes. We will not be ordering from here again.

Just tried this place today. Food was excellent. Breaded sweet&sour chicken balls had massive chunks of chicken, breaded shrimp were really good. Pleasantly surprised. The cash discount also is a plus.

Absolutely incredible staff very friendly and Absolutely amazing food would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends my husband and I will be back!!!

Hadn't ordered chinese take out in 3 years. I hate to put down any establishment that depends on customer satisfaction to be successful, and I should add that we enjoyed the take out from here when we last had it. This time however, and on top of how brutally expensive it was, the food was unacceptable. Couldn't tell the beef from the chicken (both were pale white - even the dog wasn't interested), and the vegetables were mushy and tasteless. Oh well, lesson learned, so if we ever decide to try some chinese again, rest assured it won't be from here.

Portion sizes were small and priced high!

This was my first experience with this takeout only restaurant. Due to alergies we requested No MSG or seafood which was cordially accepted.
Service was fast & friendly. Large food portions were received hot and well packed. Upon opening at home the food smelled very good and most looked very appetizing.
The Shanghai rice noodles were very tasty. The deluxe vegetables were awesome. The chicken balls were large and not excessively breaded but the sweet n sour sauce had a strange taste & texture.
The Pork fried rice was hard and the generous portions of pork therein were tough as though it had been microwaved instead of made fresh.
The Lemon chicken was heavily breaded with the breading very hard. The ends of the chicken inside were discolored - appearing to possibly to be freezer burnt.
Unfortunately, the chicken in all of the dishes was tough rendering it almost inedible.
According to other reviews, it appears our experience was similar to that had by many others before us.
Based on our experience, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I ordered dinner for 5 and 1 Szechuan chicken. Everything was there except the Szechuan chicken my wife called they were very rude. Telling her that everything was there she offered to send picture of the order they continued to be rude food was decent but customer service is not shown there. I will not be returning ever after the way we were talked to.

At 13.95 a dish I found it expensive considering the containers were small! The food was very bland, the sweet and sour sauce couldn't even help the blandness of the chicken balls, chop suey was even worse, it was loaded with cabbage, what happened to the bean sprouts, it looked and tasted like it was boiled, thankful for the soy sauce pkgs that they gave us, rice was the same way. We have eaten here maybe 4 times and have had more misses than hits. Waste of time and money!

Ordered a combo A . Chicken balls rock hard pretty much. Veggies overcooked and the egg rolls were much! Never again I’ll waste my money and order out from you

Massive portions and great flavor. Ordered a dinner for 2 and it can feed 4. Sweet and sour chicken balls are huge and awesome.
