Really a shame I have to edit my review for this restaurant. The sewage smell has been getting increasingly worse and the last time we dined there it was impossible to ignore and upsetting to the stomach. I have really enjoyed the food here and have been many times with my family of five as they are very kid friendly, as well as with my spouse, friends and other family members. The last straw for me was the last visit where when we entered we were very upset to learn that they had not taken care of the sewage smell and had actually gotten stronger, but we waited at the front area to be seated for 15 minutes and no one ever came to the front. We turned around and left without anyone working here knowing of our presence. Waiting for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant for someone to even come around to see you there...so disappointing, I used to really enjoy this place!

Needless to say it has changed, what was a good restaurant is not anymore.Restaurant itself is cold, and has bathroom odour drafting through the establishment.Food was mid at the most, $70 for two, with the quality and consistency of hospital food. Turkey dinner looked reheated, might as well been on a tray, vegetables were burnt, with what I’m guessing was a torch.My fish and shrimps were missing fries, when I inquired about the missing item, was told fries were only an appetizer, the menu picture was misleading, with the fries directly on the plate, next to the oil infused fish, and crispy little shirmpies.I’m thinking the butter chicken special, would have been the better choice on this date.Iced tea was good, as was the drive to and from Winnipeg :)

So over the two experiences we've had with Ricky's both were no good.We first ordered 2 poutines to go, picked them up, got home, and both were absolutely indelible. The gravy was so salty, as if the lid came off the salt shaker while dumping the salt in. We phoned in, spoke to the manager who said they'd gladly replace then, took our names, and phone number.Great!So ordered two poutines again a few months later, and wouldn't you know it, gravy was very salty again, mind you not like originally, but was way too salty for us to even eat. But to add to the issue, the fries were oily, and soggy. Not just from the gravy, but from the oil. Under cooked and gross. Did not bother calling back to complain..that was enough for us.We've had good meals here years ago, but it seems the place has really taken a turn.

Disappointing breakfast. Ordered Monte Cristo with stuffed hasbrownss. Hashbrowns cheap on stuffing. Not even hot. Like he cooked it first and it sat. All on bottom didn't even know til the end. Hubby's food mediocre.Used to come here often. Food was much better.I feel it has gone downhill .I keep wanting to give benefit of doubt. Unfortunately this is last time.

Place is ok, nice and quiet, went for breakfast there, only complaint is that the eggs were rubbery and cold. Think they use that boxed egg thing, like the kind that 1 and 2L milk comes in.
