The place was spotless and the staff were very good, although during busy times, they may not seem as friendly. The home fries were fresh out of the fryer, and the fries are hot and tasty. The atmosphere is enhanced by the stunning view of the river and dam, making it a great spot to hang out after a meal. The pictures on the walls are outstanding, with some being quite old. The ice cream is divine, enjoyed by families as they watch boats pass through the locks. Skinner’s Restaurant has redefined the concept of a hotdog; these are gourmet delights that burst with flavor. The experience is reminiscent of beach food, with a good view of the bridge and curtain locks. However, there have been some minor issues, such as bathrooms lacking supplies, which were quickly addressed. Overall, Skinner's provides a good, downhome feel, perfect for a family outing.
