What a dump. Needs a tear down reno. Would be nice to see a local business buy that place and reno it or tear it down.

Never get hot chicken sandwich. Giving two stars just for fries that came along with it. Delicious fries but I couldn’t eat the sandwich, it was messy and gravy was all over the sandwich, it was two normal slices of bread with chicken inside and gravy on top. I made a bad choice of ordering it.
Okay, I really tried to give this place a chance, but nope—never again. First of all, the coleslaw? Straight-up betrayal in a cup. It was so sour I thought it was trying to pickle my soul. Had to toss it faster than my ex’s hoodie.
Then came the chicken, which I’m assuming was cooked during the Bronze Age and then fossilized. So dry, I nearly had to call 911 for my taste buds. We ended up throwing most of it out—may it rest in overcooked peace.
The fries? Meh. They existed. Gravy was the only thing holding it together, like the duct tape of the meal.
Bottom line: this location is a culinary crime scene. Do yourself a favour and eat literally anywhere else.
I stopped here on my way back to Winnipeg to pick up something to drink. Upon arriving, I witnessed Chicken Chef staff Charlotte (a bigger woman with bleached blonde hair and brown roots) belittling and kicking out an elderly woman with clear mobility issues who seemingly had to use the bathroom/had an emergency. I have stopped here many times in the past, but after seeing this awful customer service behaviour toward our most vulnerable citizens, I will be taking my business elsewhere. The elderly woman did not have her walker and was assisted out of the bathroom by two folks accompanying her. I was appalled by the language being used by staff Charlotte. The folks accompanying the elderly woman were obviously upset as the staff provoked them. I recommend Charlotte attend Manitoba BEST Service Excellence training or have management review customer service etiquette/soft skills/workplace expectations with her. Though Lundar is a small town, equating to fewer available workers, there should still be set expectations being followed by employees.
This happened on February 24, 2025, in the afternoon.
Blonde girl was absolutely horrible. Avoid stopping here at all costs.
Great chicken and pizza
I needed to find a place on Hwy 6 that had a great breakfast. I found it here! I'm not a fan of cubed hashbrowns, so I was delighted to hear " Cubed or Shredded?" Sure they were Golden Grill hashbrowns, I'll take those all day long! I had the Truckers Breakfast with Hamburger steak..smothered in gravy. Delicious!

My husband and I stopped in to get dinner, the 9 piece bucket meal. When we got to our destination, we were eating sour coleslaw. Good thing I had very little of it but my husband eats lots of coleslaw. It's sad when we pay for the full meal bucket to notice when things aren't up to par.
This is why we prefer chicken delight.
The other thing that's annoying is that plastic cover between costumers and staff when other businesses took those things away months ago.

June 5th, 2024. Small town atmosphere, front staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely order from there again.
