Had an awful experience with them, catering our wedding. They made several mistakes throughout, such as beginning to serve the salads before the ceremony even began (About two hours early), bringing the wrong salad, and the wrong side dish. They also told guests in attendance that they weren’t on the list and therefore did not have a meal, but when we confirmed with the list that we had sent them and that they had confirmed receipt of, these guests were on the list. Guests complained that servers were rude, including guests with children who had to wait well over an hour before their children’s meals were served. When we reached out to resolve some of these issues, they blamed my wife for all of it, despite us having email threads of them being told all of the correct information. They did not respond for nearly a month after our wedding, and after initially blaming us, stopped responding altogether. Even our venue sent us evidence of their own communication with the caterer, giving them the correct information. The most unprofessional service I have ever received, and even worse communication after the fact. I would strongly recommend against using this company to cater something like your wedding. We have since heard that we are not the first people to have an experience like this with this company

We had hired Exceptional Thymes for our wedding caterer this past summer. We had high hopes after attending our initial taste test and meeting at their restaurant. Unfortunately we were severely disappointed at their service, communication and professionalism. After we had made the initial deposit after the taste test we found communication extremely difficult. We had many questions and things to clarify with Exceptional Thymes leading up to our wedding and found replies to our emails would be few and far between. There was no written contract provided initially, unlike many other caterers and vendors which we had inquired with, but after we insisted that this would make us feel more comfortable, they did finally comply and draft one for us. I had not heard from them a month prior to the wedding, so both myself and my venue coordinator had reached to them by email, and phone call as we were not getting responses back. I had sent a very detailed seating chart including diagrams with names, table numbers, seats, etc. outlining guest's food choices and allergies. However on the actual wedding day we had guests complain of not being served meals, or the correct meal despite this being on the seating chart. Exceptional Thymes also showed up and began dinner service 1.5 hours early (during our cocktail hour while we were taking photos), and tried to get our MC's to call all the guests into the venue to start eating at 5pm instead of the scheduled 6:30pm start time. They served the wrong salads, and wrong side dish with the main entree. And because they had started the meal prep early, the salads were unfortunately soggy once we did sit down for dinner. The service was very slow, and many of our guests complained about rude and rushed service. One of our table, which had many young children at it who were getting antsy with waiting for food, had asked one of the servers if the kids meals could be brought out first and the server very rudely declined this request. We attempted to discuss these issues with Exceptional Thymes privately after the wedding, however no apologies were ever made and they had attributed their errors by claiming they did not receive emails leading up the wedding, and that their email was "not working". Both myself and my venue coordinator had been emailing with them leading up to the wedding and had given very clear timelines for dinner service and seating charts/meal preferences. We felt like no responsibility had been taken on their part, and an overall lack of professionalism and care during our wedding day. Would NOT recommend again to anyone
