I ordered a medium deluxe for takeout (they no longer have dine-in). Superb pizza. Nobody makes pizza like this. Lots of high quality toppings and perfect crust.

I always heard how great Marathon pizzas were. So I decided to order a Bacon and Green Pepper medium pizza. The toppings were plentiful and real. But the crust is so tough and hard to chew. It took a half hour for the order. It is missing the pizzazz that it used to have oh so many years ago.
I don’t need to order one again ever.

Marathon has been around since forever, and at one time it was the best pizza place in Morden. Sadly these days that's not so much the case. It's absolutely hit or miss when ordering. Sometimes the pizza is reminiscent of the good old days, other times - like tonight - it's delicious but missing whatever it was that made it Marathon pizza and tgen there are times, like the last time we ordered, which was at least 4 to 5 years ago, when it was so bad we had to wait that long to be able to try it again. I did enjoy it today but I have to say that the risk is not worth the reward. And when you call to order you get yelled at about how busy he his or how he was just about to close because he wasn't busy (as if anyone could know this) and it's very off putting when trying to order supper. The hours are very short as is - 4 to 7 Sunday to Friday, and 4 to 8 on Saturday so the window to order isn't huge. I feel as if he yells at people to try to convince them not to order.....but that's just how it feels to me. I honestly cannot recommend this once loved restaurant any longer, and that saddens me.

TERRIBLE experience. Called to find out if they were open. Phone rang 8 times then someone with a heavy Chinese accent answered, "Hello". That was it. I asked if it was Marathon Pizza, silence. I asked again and a very groggy voice said, "Well I had to get up to answer the phone so I guess it is." ? I had to ask twice more to make sure it was Marathon because I was not sure and the guy starts yelling at me and kept saying he had to answer the phone. I gave up and said I'd find another place. He swore at me and hung up. If the pizza is as good as this guy's attitude then the health authorities need to be aware.

As a chef I would never have sent out what I got. Dough was well past the max shelf life In a cooler. It tasted like a smelly old sock. Cheese didn't melt properly and I could go on but I'd rather end this with something positive. The young guy working the counter was very nice and tried his best. But overall extremely disappointed.
