Such friendly service! The wait staff really made this a good experience. The food specials were pretty good.
Another standout was the $9 strawberry daiquiri special. The colour was magnicent, and it went down wa-a-ay too easy. I could have had 3 or 4 if I wasn't driving.

My husband and I stopped in after seeing a positive review on Instagram. We enjoy checking out new spots outside the city, so we were excited to try Hespeler’s. The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, and the service was friendly however, dining area was strange…. Too open, not comfortable lol.

We both ordered burgers (the Whiskey Jack), and unfortunately the food fell short for us. The burger was difficult to eat as it was very heavy on the sauce, and the patty tasted like a frozen burger rather than fresh. Overall, it wasn’t quite what we were hoping for and kinda pricey. I would pass on the burgers if you order here.

That said, we really appreciate the mission, and I think with a few tweaks to the menu it could be a great local spot.

Soup was clearly powdered and tasted awful. I sent it back but it remained on my bill. My fries never came. Dirty glasses. Overall very disappointed and won’t be back. No manager came to talk to us either.

Wanted to try something new & local. We went for lunch & we were one of only two tables at the time. Waitress took our order, food came out fairly quickly. Unfortunately it looked better than it tasted. I ordered a BLT wrap with onion rings. The wrap had no flavor with exception for bacon pieces. When waitress finally came back out to check on us I asked if there was any sauce or something as it was very plain, no cheese etc. she said it should have come with cheese. She brought me out a chipotle ranch. Never came out after that to see if we needed anything, not a refill on drinks or if we were ready for the bill. Finally we took in what we wanted to go inside with us to find her & ask for the bill. The place has a nice atmosphere but Very disappointed in the lack of service & quality of food. Will not be returning!

Saw this place on a TikTok and drove in from Wpg to check it out with my wife and daughter! I had the cheese burger, the kid had the wings and my wife the quesadillas! Couldn’t get enough as we had to share our dishes with each other, very out of the ordinary since like Joey, we don’t share food. Service was AMAZING! Never had an empty glass and, for those who care, plastic straws. Worth the trip.

Saw this place on a tik tok and I love supporting local so I was excited to give this place a shot. I eagerly ordered the Chicken Parmesan pasta, only to be met with disappointment. The pasta was covered in so much cheese it was all I could taste and made the whole dish just feel soggy and stringy. My fiance ordered the Whiskey Jack burger and said it tasted like nothing but jalapenos and everything was jam packed in the middle making it awkward to eat. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Always a good time at Hespelers. Service was awesome. Like talking to old friends. Food was great - tried the dill-icious burger. Very good. Different. Really enjoyed it. Solid 8 out of 10 burger. Fries were good, beer was refreshing. Highly recommend Hespelers.

Since new management, Hespelers has gone straight downhill. Food quality is down but prices are way up, getting rid of discounts (especially for seniors when they are located in a care home), and zero care for their staff. It really says something about a business in a small community losing their long term staff and patrons. Highly recommend choosing an establishment that cares about more than their bottom line.

I was a very regular customer of this establishment for 7 years or so since I moved to Niverville. Whoever is in charge of the menu/kitchen is essentially destroying this place from the inside out. They had the best fish and chips, a few months ago I figured id give it another shot after the last horrible meal. They replaced the fish with fish sticks essentially while jacking the price up. Today my family was foolish enough to give it another try. We ordered the chicken parm. What was once a nice large piece of crispy breaded chicken has now been replaced with shriveled pieces of chicken smothered in sub par sauce and covered with cheese. Do better hespelers, this once nice place is being driven straight to the ground. Holly, our server was great though.

Edit: I don't need to leave a bad review. I think the guest count will tell the story for the management. I don't know what happened in the last year or two but it's not working. As a loyal customer, it's insulting how they've raised their prices and seem to be alienating their (generally great) staff.

We used to go for wing night every week. It used to be hard to even find a table, now there's always several tables open. While the wings are still quite good, the other food is merely edible, never really good at all.

With the rising cost of everything, I get that they needed to find a way to make more money for the care home they support. But most people aren't going to pay top dollar for sub-par food.

Original review (now irrelevant): I really like this place. The servers are all really great and the management seems good. The wings are amazing and the fried cheese curds are unbelievable. Lots of gluten free options!

I didn't realize for a long time that this place is a non-profit that benefits the adjacent care home. That really means a lot!
