Mat was given a tough job of taking care of our huge table after the Nighthawks game and he crushed it. He had quite a few curveballs thrown his way and he dealt with it with utmost class and determination. If you get Mat, make sure you let him know he’s a rockstar of a server!

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning. The restaurant was probably half full and service was terrible. Took a long time for someone to come welcome us and take us to a table. We waited a long time for a server to come to our table to offer drinks or take our order. Tables that were seated later than us were attended to before us. The server was very unprofessional. We had to ask for standard things that a good service restaurant would be watching for. The food was good. We again had to wait a long time for our bill to come. At the cost for two breakfasts at Smitty’s, I would expect better service! Please understand that I am a very gracious restaurant guest, so I did not mention any of these concerns in the restaurant, but will put my thoughts in a review.
As one other reviewer mentioned, management treats employees terrible. Note to owners: you can’t treat your employees like garbage in a small town and expect this to not get around and for you to get a bad reputation. It is for this reason i will not ear here but to critique the food it id pricey and mediocre. I had high hopes but you need to treat your employees with respect and kindness. They will then to likewise for your customers.

After seeing the way the older female who appeared to be the General manager treated the staff, we won’t be returning. While this manager berated two staff members in front of tables full of customers including my husband and I, I couldn’t help but notice the difference in the atmosphere afterwards.The manager should be helping staff instead of hindering them. If you see your employees their falling behind or as I seen it, “not doing exactly what they should be doing according to her particular standards” then they’ll be demeaned and made to feel horrible.Fortunately,, there’s places in Niverville that treat their staff with respect. We will be frequently those places instead.
