Mixed feelings. The burger was no-nonsense classic done right. Enjoyed it. But the service was poor. We had to wait an hour before our food was ready. The staff did apologize and offered to provide discount. Not sure if this was a one-off thing as it was our first time eating here. Free parking available but can be difficult to find empty spots. If service is fast then this could be a good lunch option if you’re visiting the nearby provincial parks.

We went for supper after floating down the channel. We were absolutely starved and excited to make our order. The waitress was very nice, and did let us know that the kitchen was backed up so there would be a wait of 45 minutes or so for anything we ordered. We were ok with that, and were chatting after we gave our order. My dad asked for no cheese on his clubhouse sandwich, and my friend asked for no green onions or peppers on his chicken quesadilla. Both orders came to us wrong. It was easy enough to take the cheese off the sandwich, but we couldn't take the items out of the quesadilla. We flagged the waitress over, explained that the quesadilla was wrong, and she apologized and took it back to be remade. After another 20 mins or so, we asked about the status of the food, and got told that it was made wrong yet again. So once again they were going to remake it. Not wanting to wait too much longer because we had a 3.5 hour drive ahead of us, we asked for it to be in a to go container. We were also told that the cook was their very cute expo girl (don't know what that means) and was to be forgiven. Regardless, my friend finally got their food, and it was taken off their bill.

Just had lunch here. It took almost an hour and a half to get food. While we waited no one came to refill our water glasses even once and we were sitting on the patio on a hot day. Food was very bland and boring.

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. Our server was inept and inattentive. She brought us menus and asked as she handed them to us if we knew what we wanted to drink (we didn't, as we hadn't seen the menus). 15 minutes later she came to take our order. We ordered pizza and nachos, only to be told that neither were available due to a lack of basic ingredients (tortilla chips and mozzarella), which eliminates about 1/3 of the menu. We said we needed about 30 seconds to reconsider, as 100% of our order was unavailable. She came back about 7 minutes later and took our orders (both super basic: burgers as platters with fries and coleslaw, and diet cokes). The drinks were served in on the rocks tumblers half-filled with ice. We were never offered refills, and even when we finally saw her again and had a chance to request refills, after 15 min of waiting, they never came.
Our food came and one was missing coleslaw. The server was on the verge of leaving without offering any condiments for the fries when we called her back to ask for the missing coleslaw as well as ketchup, etc. The coleslaw still never came. It took 25 minutes for us to get our orders and the restaurant was mostly empty. The food ranged from bland to fine (at best). Still wish it had been pizza.
Not having been brought the refills we finally tired of waiting for, or a bill, we went inside to pay at the bar. We did not, needless to say, tip. I went to the washroom. When I came out, the server stopped me to ask why I/we hadn't tipped, to my utter disbelief. It seems that she was genuinely unaware of how unbelievably poor her service had been, which suggests a problem with the training she received. Other hints of management problems include things like the incredibly cheap portions on stale fountain pop and limited (or zero!) refills, and an inability to stay on top of basic things like ordering food inventory. The server did not apologize for the poor experience. I did not apologize for not having tipped. Will not be back.

On Saturday, we had breakfast at Pinawa Golf Club. While we had high expectations for the experience given the reputation of the venue, there were several areas where the service and food quality fell short. The hash browns, for instance, were extremely hard, more akin to fried potato chips than the traditional soft and crispy hash browns one would expect. This made them quite difficult to eat and enjoy. Similarly, the bread was toasted to the point of being overly hard, which detracted from the overall meal experience.
One of the most notable issues was the lack of attentive service. Throughout our meal, no one approached our table to ask if we needed anything else. This included something as basic as a refill of coffee, which is generally a standard part of breakfast service. The absence of this attention left us feeling somewhat neglected and detracted from the overall dining experience.
On a more positive note, the location of Pinawa Golf Club is truly excellent.

I recently visited Pinawa golf club Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The view of the golf course is absolutely stunning, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop while you dine.
The food is outstanding. I tried the fresh hamburger and chicken fingers, and both were delicious. The hamburger was juicy and flavorful, and the chicken fingers were perfectly crispy. The French fries were amazing as well—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
The staff was perfect, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. They made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal.
Overall, this Restaurant is a gem with great food, a beautiful view, and top-notch service. Highly recommended!

We were treating our son and daughter-in-law to their birthday lunch. I’m dairy and meat-free so little choice. The, was it Naan bread(?), I had was burnt beyond recognition and the hummus was tasteless. My son did enjoy his meal, as did my daughter-in-law. The waitress was more interested in, well, anything but serving (cell, smoke…). She did have a sene of humour, but constantly coaxed us to order from the bar. The atmosphere was drab. My husband and I will not be back.I would suggest that you take a page from the Selkirk Golf and Country Club in terms of service and atmosphere, not necessarily the cuisine.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dairy free no meat These were limited, to say the least, and what options there were, were really no options.
