Went to The Happy Plate and had a cheeseburger and fries! The burger was absolutely delicious! Nothing but homemade. It’s the best I’ve had in a long time

To follow up to response to the last review regarding the service and the tip. I gave the tip because I think the server was trying hard. That this review is an opportunity to grow and learn. It is not her fault if she needs more training on how to clean tables properly. Does she have all the necessary training as in her young workers certificate because she is 15. Being a server is hard and this is a great opportunity to learn skills. The tip was not a reflection of the cleanliness of the table or the very cold hashbrowns but that she is learning. I would not tip for the state of the restaurant or the quality of the food.

Vegetarian options: not clear on the menu or by the server that we can make changes to the menu.

A great little place, seating for 26. Each of the regulars asked about the special as they came in. Cream of roast broccoli soup, with a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The soup was reported as excellent and the sandwiches had an abundance of ham.I had the bacon mushroom cheeseburger with fries. The burger was good and tasty and the fries were definitely better than most. I recommend the bread pudding for dessert.
