Best food I’ve had from a small town since 2017. My meal was so good I almost cried, the poutine was absolutely delicious, the service?!?!?! Off the chart. Jaw dropping of a restaurant. I did a happy dance every bite I took. The waitress was so nice to us, I can’t put it into words. 100000/100000 recommend!!!!

It has been 5 years since the last time I visited this place and now has a different name from it was before. I love their brisket, and so I have had savory brisket taco and caesar salad this recent visit.

We went for lunch during the St Malo street bash weekend. There was an advertised special for brisket tacos which my partner was excited to try. I’m gluten free so I knew my options would be limited.
We waited over an hour for our food. There was only one employee working. She had a friend in the back with her, with long, curly hair not even tied up. They chatted away as the one employee was the server and cook. I ordered the legacy burger with a lettuce wrap. To say the burger was over cooked was an understatement. The brisket on it was also reheated way too much so it was all rock hard. I was so hungry I ate it.
My husband’s food was better than mine but the ad said beans or Ceaser salad and she never asked which he wanted. He would have chose the beans if asked. I could see into the kitchen and they pull lettuce from unwashed romaine hearts.
As we went to pay I mentioned by burger was overcooked so the employee took off 10%. Honestly, if we hadn’t waited an hour for our food or if she’d checked to see how we were doing, I wouldn’t have eaten it. It felt wrong to pay $15 for a burger like that.
We were so excited to try this place but we won’t be back.

A hidden gem! Tasty brisket for sure. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Even offered to let us try more of the flavors of sauce by bring out little bottles. Oven fries were so good! (No deep fryer!!)

Our experience here wasn't the best. The wait was long, and the food wasn't that great. When leaving, I tried to be polite and said the food was ok when asked how it was, but the waitress seemed to get offended and seemed confrontational when asking me what was wrong with the food. So maybe next time someone comes in and says the food was ok. Just leave it as that. Now seeing the posts on line here we probably shoulda ordered the brisket.

Great experience. The food was very tasty and affordable. Service was amazing. My waitress/cook was very upbeat and chatty. Very rustic looking decor.

Had the pulled pork and beef brisket today. THE BEST EVER! Juicy and filled with flavour. No BBQ sauce necessary. So much taste!! Wait staff were friendly and served us well. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall something and not a restaurant. Almost drove away as we could believe the building was an eating place. The decor inside isn't anything but rural diner so don't go for atmosphere but the food and people are worth every minute of the drive from winnipeg!
