Mango’s Restaurant @ South Beach Casino

I ate at the buffet in Mangos last Saturday. I have been eating here since the hotel opened and the food has gone downhill badly in the past 2 years. The prime rib was so tough that we didn't finish even half of it. Cabbage rolls were bland, had no meat or bacon & hardly any tomato sauce. Salad bar is average. Pickerel was battered like chicken nuggets and was bland - like frozen fish from a package. However, perogies were tasty, shrimp was ok, pork roast (called it "pork belly") was very tender (cut with a fork) and tasty. Cheese cake was not made from cream cheese - it was some sort of spongey stuff that was disappointing. The highlight though was the sticky pudding - absolutely decadent & tasty. Service was excellent as always. Overall, I suspect that the hotel has downgraded food quality in order to meet a price point for gamblers. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Fries taste crunchy like someone sprinkled sand on it. Sandwich of the day was corned beef sandwich. Two tiny pieces of meat with lonely leaf of lettuce with paper thin tomato (1 piece) 9$ for that?!!! Worst food in the area

My brother was in from BC so we thought we’d drive from Winnipeg and take him to the Sunday breakfast buffet then play a little bit.
It was fabulous! Good selection, food was fresh, made to order eggs and a real ham.
Decent price too - great coffee.
Even if you don’t gamble, it’s worth the trip ?

It was ok at best wouldn’t go outta my way the meat was good but everything else was mediocre. Cabbage rolls said beef and pork 99% rice and looked like one tiny piece of ham pirogies bland sausage was very spicy shrimp and mussels was cold and shrimp were tough. Deep fried shrimp were really greasy. Cocktail shrimp were smaller but fine. Ran out for awhile. Carrots everyone liked you can see lots of things people seemed to avoid chicken Kiev was cooked nice but nothing really inside. I feel it’s mediocre at best. Slow service on the drink refills was thirsty.

We had the buffet and it was great. 3 different dishes of shrimp and 3 meats at the carving counter. The shrimp were amazing and the perogies r outstanding. I coukd only eat the perogies and be very satisfied. Always a very good selection of meat dishes and all very tasty.We r looking forward to Ukrainian Christmas ? eve buffet on the 6th. Hope it will be as outstanding as it has been the last few times we have had the Mangos buffet! ?

My blue cheese burger was awesome. I for sure thought it was a house made patty but it wasn't. However, it was full of meat with no fillers. I enjoyed it and with the 20% discount my parents received was easily worth what we paid.

Long wait as they want you to pay for the buffet (that side had lots of seating). Once we were seated it was a long time before staff even said hi or offered to grab drinks while we looked at the menu. We ordered everything all at once and were rushed to pay (half the table was still eating), i assume because of the lineup. The server had inappropriate comments and word choices which really topped off the question of "why did I come here?"

Food was good, prices are decent, and portions are large. My only nitpick is our waitress didn't check up on us. But a very nice young lady she was.
