Didn't think we'd enjoy eating at Chicken Chef, but boy, were we wrong. We arrived in Souris as we were planning an outing to the International Peace Gardens, and this was between there and our other destination, Riding Mountain. The only bummer, nothing was open for dinner, except CC. Quiet, clean, friendly, and huge portions, they even have a not-too-bad veggie selection for my wife. Chicken was my order (why not!!!). Plenty of meat on the chicken, unlike the larger fast food chains, a choice of one or two sides, depending on the number of chicken pieces ordered. Not sure we'll be back to this particular location, but CC is now on our list of friendly, reasonably priced eat-ins

If someone pre ordered food and isn’t going to be ready, or if you need to make a substitution then call the customer! Why take down a phone number to not use. No impressed pre ordering food 1.5 hours in advance to only find out when I get to get it for the time I ordered it, that they don’t have what I ordered or they can have it ready in 20-25 minutes. What’s the point in pre ordering if I don’t even get what I want by the time they agreed for it to be ready for. Absolute joke!!!

This is our go to place in Souris. Everywhere else has been mediocre and not super great. Chicken chef is what we call our ole reliable. We always know we’re going to get good service and good food. One evening we went for dinner with my autistic son, he was having a very very difficult time. The ended up making our food to go and I was so thankful. The staff was so understanding. This is probably one of the fastest restaurants in town too!

Purchased food at 6 pm , that was more than likely cooked maybe even the previous day , judge from the photo , the fries we asked for extra crispy to avoid them coming from the warmer , we failed . The fries and chicken came directly from the warmer , the box was so wet and soggy it literally ripped pulling it from the bag . The “manager” told me I was being rude after I said “I wouldn’t even feed this to my dog as he might get sick”. After paying money for something well before close , you expect better . The manager then proceeded to “pass on” my information to the owner . I write this in hopes the owner reads this as I do not believe the proper lines of communication will be followed.

Newly renovated modern interior, spacious for large groups, friendly service and great food that Chicken Chef lovers will enjoy! Recently visited during a hockey tournament and will be back if in town in the future!
We were in town for a hockey tournament and needed to order 13 pizzas to feed our players and families. Chicken Chef was able to help us on short notice and the pizza was exceptional! Thank you!

Beautifully renovated in the last couple years, with vastly improved food. I had the clubhouse sandwich, with real shredded chicken, a thick slice of ham, real cheddar, and all of the toppings. It was a great choice, and even better with the flavourful and well-cooked fries.
