I placed my order a few weeks in advance to ensure I got my favourites and then added on a few extras when I got there. The apple fritters are gigantic and delicious (photo for size reference), the Boston cream donuts are to die for, their garlic and cheese pull apart buns are like something out of a dream and I tried the butter tarts for the first time this last trip and I was an instant fan! It’s worth the stop and if you want to guarantee something I suggest messaging them in advance!!!

If there was an extra star for service and for food quality, they’d get it! Never heard of this place until my wife and I visited their booth at the last RV show in Winnipeg. The bakery was promoting the town of Souris and was offering free samples of their famous apple fritters. Today, I was travelling through Souris and called the store to see if they had any apple fritters available, which they did and I explained my situation. I’m in an 18 wheeler and wanted to know if they had someone who could deliver to a location where I could park and meet them and they did. No questions asked! Great fritters and great people. We drove to Souris on the weekend, to Minary Homestyle Bakery to get a few baked goodies. Well, they didn’t disappoint! Fabulous communications with the bakery staff, both online and in person, very friendly and helpful. The cinnamon buns were heavenly, noted as I was sitting in the car out front, as almost every customer wandered out with them. For my husband, the bigfoot sized apple fritters were absolutely delectable, so many pieces of apple, each bite had one. The size is factual, we cut them into quarters, 😜. A great bakery experience that we would recommend, also the drive was lovely! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
