Visited for breakfast and ran into, what I consider, a very odd and to my mind, a completely unnecessary situation. My wife and I were sharing a plated meal. When I asked for an extra plate and cutlery was told no. The person behind the counter (not the person who rang the order in) tried to explain but it really made no sense. There was something mentioned about meals with only one egg, as opposed to the two our meal came with but it still made no sense to me. I then thought maybe they thought I wanted the meal to be split it half by the cook, which to my thinking shouldn't have been an issue anyway, so I reiterated I just wanted an extra plate and cutlery. The answer was still no. In hindsight I should have just left at that point but for whatever reason, stayed. My wife and I shared the cutlery and plate but honestly can't see ourselves coming back. Even as I'm typing this review sitting in the restaurant I am having a hard time understanding and somehow still think there must have been a misunderstanding with my request. If this indeed is the restaurant's policy it is, to say the least, baffling and more importantly, disappointing. We have never had this issue with any other A&W we've visited. On the up side the food arrived quickly and was good. As my wife ate first with our single fork my meal was cold by the time I got to eat.

Not sure why they have The washroom locked up like Fort Knox most people like to wash their hands before they eat , not like they’re in a transient area so not sure why They feel the need to have locks on the washrooms if They’re working on such small margins to save on water and toilet paper imagine what they do to cut cost on your food. .

Ordered 5 Frozen A&W root beers through the drive thru and it took a considerable amount of time for them to be made. I would have appreciated being told when I ordered that there would be a significant wait time. It took so long I ended up going in as I was considering cancelling my order.

Stopped to purchase 2 teen burgers for myself and my wife. Teen burgers were cold, cheese not melted and the tomatoes and lettuce falling out. Poorly made at $20.00. Called A W to let them know and they said that the tomato and lettuce make the burger cold. They could not explain why the cheese had not melted. Then I was told that they would have to take a frozen patty out of the freezer to cook it hotter which would take longer. There are many places in Steinbach to enjoy a hot burger other than AW. Extremely disappointed!

Went there on Canada Day Had a teen burger and onion rings. Burger was tasteless and onion rings were so tough to eat. Not impressed at all. Use to be so good but going downhill now

Had the bacon and Eggers combo. They forgot the seasoning salt on my hash browns but quickly corrected it.
not what it used to be small burgers flat root beer and expenses they have dropped to Mc Ds style.
The burgers today so dry and thin had a teen burger and mama burger. Fries not cooked enough and onion rings changed
