Chicken Chef Steinbach & Window 365

Coming from a Mennonite background, I have to say this: the cream gravy could be taken up a notch. Mennonites know their cream gravy like it’s a language, and it just isn’t quite there yet. If they ever put a true Mennonite cook in the kitchen to be in charge of the gravy — oh boy — that would change the game completely. A little more richness, that authentic kitchen flavor… it would make all the difference...

We were in Steinbach visiting family and stopped here for supper on Thanksgiving Monday because my husband is a big Chicken Chef fan. The service was fantastic and so was the food. The restaurant was very clean and a nice temperature (which is important to me because I really hate freezing while I'm eating). The staff were all very nice and they were very attentive which is always a plus. One of the highlights was the side salad I ordered. In my experience, while I love them, iceberg lettuce salads can be iffy. This one was crisp, super fresh, and nice and cold and a really enjoyed it because I love a good salad. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

We got chicken and potato salad and gluten free chicken from Steinbach chicken chef for my daughters wedding. I was so impressed. The communication was amazing. They delivered on time and the food was amazing. We got so many compliments. I will be ordering again in the future!!! 5 stars for sure!

My mom went to pick up an order of only thighs 9 piece order. 100% clear to the workers that's all she wanted. The order was made and handed over. Upon inspecting when she got home she noticed the order was incorrect and had a bunch of white meat, and only 2 thighs. She called in and spoke with the manager. The manager was rude and blamed it on my mother for Chicken chefs screw up, and took zero responsibility for it. The manager also refused to make note and comp part or whole of the meal. After the manager argued multiple times finger pointing the blame, the manager only offered one thing stating my mother would have to drive all the way back(30minutes one direction), to exchange the order for the correct items immediately. Unprofessional is the only word that explains this place. Fair warning to those who decide to order from this location, check your order before you leave! Otherwise they will blame you and refuse any responsibility in their errors.

Another legacy restaurant in Steinbach that chooses to reduce portions, buy cheaper ingredients and increase prices.

Their chicken and pizza still make it a viable restaurant but everything else on the menu is a waste of money.

This location has recently added many items to the menu. My honey dill chicken poutine was sublime! My daughter loved her burger as well! Our server, (I believe her name was Hannah) was such a nice young lady and she made sure we were happy customers!

First and last time dining here. Service was horrible the young blond waitress with braces did not want to seve us. Guess you have to be local. Also restaraunt was so dirty from hand ptints on the windows to chicken and frys on the floor, Just grungy

The Steinbach Chicken Chef has definitely declined recently! The service is not great and is not as friendly as it used to be.

Horrible. We went for dine in had a Saled and my bf had poutine. Took 45 to get our food we were the only people in the restaurant other people came in and got there food before we did our server never came to fill our empty glasses just walked right past us and after waving her down she came by asking “should I get you anything else” instead of “may I” felt like she was forced to be there. We gave it another shot for take out a week later Charged us for coleslaw and when we got home didn’t even get it. Should’ve gone to KFC
