Main Bread & Butter offers a beautiful assortment of homemade Mennonite foods as well as both local and European imported foods, snacks, chocolates, gluten-free items and fresh local produce. They also have a full service deli counter where they will slice or shave deli meats and fresh Bothwell cheese for you. Daily homemade soups are also delicious. You can dine-in or take-out (we’ve done both).

Had a soup and sandwich combo. Got the mushroom soup and the roast beef sandwich. It was flavourful and delicious. Anything homemade sure tastes great!!!

What a shocker! I thought this was just a bakery. When i entered i was surprised to find how large it is. It sells things i normally cannot find elsewhere. It is groceries and a deli. Very very cool. Will be back!

This place makes the absolute BEST chicken noodle soup - as good as Oma's or maybe even better! (but don't tell HER that!!) The grocery store section is full of unique food options, many of which are locally sourced and delicious. And, the gift baskets made to order by "Bev" are absolutely fantastic! She fills them with every great item for a unique and tasty offering - whether it's for a celebration or "shut-in" gift. She's been there to assist us with all our needs for many years, and along with the rest of the staff and owners, is a joy to deal with. Definitely THE place to eat or shop if you're in Steinbach!!
