Ah, Tim Hortons in Thompson. Somehow it manages a 3.6–3.7-star rating, which is laughable if you’ve actually been there lately. Generous? Sure. Accurate? Not even close.

Service is a masterpiece of inefficiency. You walk in, there’s one person behind the counter juggling drinks, food, and orders like a caffeinated circus act, while eight or nine people stand at the drive-thru doing absolutely nothing. Nothing! And if you’re a walk-in, ready to order, you might as well be a ghost. They’ll finish the online orders, ignore you entirely, and then maybe — if they feel like it — acknowledge your existence. Front-line service? Optional, apparently.

And the store itself? Let’s just say “clean” is aspirational. Dirty corners, sticky floors, crumbs like confetti, and occasionally someone napping in the corner. Because why not? Makes the ambiance really special. You want a “premium café experience”? Keep dreaming.

The food is… well, it exists. Once, maybe it carried nostalgia. Now it’s overpriced chain fast food that leans entirely on salt, sugar, and caffeine to justify itself. Coffee? Fine, it works. Everything else — sandwiches, wraps, baked goods — overpriced and uninspired. You’re paying more than you used to for less than you deserve.

So yes, you go to Tim’s in Thompson when you have to — for coffee, convenience, or because your standards have mysteriously plummeted. Expecting a decent experience? Ha. The place could improve service and cleanliness by 300%, and you’d still be looking at mediocrity.

Realistic rating? 1 stars. Anything higher means you’re probably remembering the commercials from the 90s or have very, very low expectations.

The customer service is ridiculous at tim hortons , Thompson. The woman at the drive-thru was extremely rude. I was still in the middle of placing my order when I noticed something different on the screen. I tried to clarify it, but she told me the order had already been made and couldn’t be changed. That’s ridiculous — and she had a serious attitude about it too. If there was a misunderstanding, how can she say the order was finalized and couldn’t be corrected?

As a truck driver, I visit a lot of places, but this Tim Hortons truly stands out. The staff are always welcoming, the service is quick, and the coffee and food are fresh every time. It’s the kind of stop that makes life on the road a little brighter. Thank you for the great experience.

Quick service, only issue would be many tables could not be used as they were dirty and no staff was in the area cleaning when they had 8 people working. Quiet place well located!

Getting tired of getting the wrong order, can't speak English and the food is shit.
Use to be good and decent food. Fast drive thru with out repeating your oder 5 times and still they get it wrong. Gross seeing all those flies in the doughnuts cabinet.

Doughnuts are not good anymore. They melt at room temp, todays doughnuts werent fully coated. Some doughnuts and timbits and wet and the glaze never drys. I like the shell doughnuts better now
