Absolutely incredible! Lisa and her team at Hillside Hub are doing something really special here. I had the Hillside Hub Special and it was beyond good — fresh, handmade, and full of flavour. You can tell every dish is made with care, and honestly, all the food here is ridiculously good, especially for a small community spot like this. Great people, great food, great vibe — can’t wait to come back!

We were visiting family at base camp 59 and they suggested we get some pizzas. These pizzas were a little better than a mediocre frozen pizza.
My family was surprised at the severe drop in quality since recent change of ownership.
Absolutely do not recommend until they figure out their product.

We have tried the pizza here which was terrific. Decided to eat in and try something new.
We had a cheeseburger chicken fingers and split an order of the onion rings. All were excellent, especially the onion rings.
We were surprised by the amount of help and table service even though they are not providing it yet. We understand they are just starting up and that is something coming down the road. Our experience here was very good and will come back again.
We also took some baking to go, which has also been excellent so far

Visited with my partner for lunch. I understand the ownership changed earlier this year. This was apparent in several aspects.
There is no table service, though they seem to have enough staff to accommodate service.
The menu includes standard fare like fries and burgers, but also more interesting things like a Portuguese Bifana. We ordered a bifana, fries, coleslaw and a cheeseburger.
The fries were really good, though the larger/thicker ones were undercooked. The bifana was mediocre. While the meat was seasoned, the sandwich was dry and boring. The burger was fine, but nothing original. The coleslaw tasted old, with gross dressing.
My opinion is the restaurant focus on doing a few things well, before adding new things to the menu, particularly if the cook is green.
I would not recommend.

We stopped today on our way back to Winnipeg we had the Hillside pizza and fries and chicken fingers and onion rings , we loved the homemade fries and the pizza was the best pizza I had in the 20 years I lived here, reminded me of the pizza we used to order when I lived in Laval QC. Good job and I wish you weren't so far from WPG as I would order from you all the time

My family and I stopped by the Hillside Hub after a long day spent on the boat. We went in with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and excellent service. The bacon cheeseburger was so good that I even asked to speak with the chef! Ben and Owen were a delight to chat with and it was great to see the smiling faces who were behind cooking the food we were served. Definitely going back again.

Very upset with Hillside Beach Hub. Bought a few individual ice creams and once I got home to eat it, within 4 bites I discovered something hard I was chewing on. I initially thought it was just a broken piece of plastic spoon, but after clearing the ice cream from my mouth I put the object on my tongue to pull out woth my fingers and then realized that what I had been chewing on was a human finger nail. Not some tiny spec either, this is a massive chunk of nail from an individual at this shop. I feel very disgusted because human hands go through the unknown. After finding this nail, I tried to call the restaurant multiple times, and im not talking 3 or 4, I have tried calling over 15 times and no answer. This is a pretty disgusting, not only the nail but the fact that the establishment will not answer their phone. Im going to call until I speak to someone.

Rene and Lori have a great business going out here. Always a good story to be had from them and the food is always amazing. Try the Ruban and the spicy dill pickle pizza. It shows that they love what they do and interacting with their customers on a personal level. Thank you for cooking us many breakfast, lunch and suppers so we could keep working, lol

This has got to be the best pizza outside New York City! The staff are so incredibly kind, and the chef makes a mean pizza!
Do yourself a favor and order the Hillside Special!
