“Lakehouse is a fantastic restaurant and cafe. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There’s a hotel at the back, which I often stay at when visiting Riding Mountain National Park. The room is always super clean and has cozy vibes to it. There is a hot tub available for use.

The area has plenty to do nearby, including hiking trails, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Many shops close during the winter, but Lakehouse stays open, which is great. I visited in winter, when the area was already covered in snow. Summer offers even more activities, making it a great spot year-round.”

“The beaver tails at the beach is great! Sure, there’s a line up but it’s definitely worth the wait. Great service. Delicious pastry. Don’t buy ice cream at the store in town. Service is bad, ice cream was melty and for $5 a cone you get less than 1/4 cup of ice cream. I kid you not. Six of us ordered a single scoop cone and the server gave us each one level scoop of ice cream.”

“We had the nachos and added chicken. They were delicious. Our server was attentive and provided really good service. Very large menu and large selection of craft brews. We sat outside and it was enjoyable”
