I would have given it a 1. But the fries were good. After we complained about them being cold. They gave us a new order and they were piping hot. The burger was yucky. It was a thin dried out pre-made burger that had no taste. There was the tiniest bit of what I think would have been chili on the bun. And the bun was not overly fresh. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. And it was pricey for what you got.

Place was packed but the staff gave their all to get food out to people in a timely manner. Really liked the chili flavor used on the burger here. Grabbed some onion rings too... a little over cooked but still nothing to really complain about. Great stop on the boardwalk for a bite to eat during the summer. Did not order the poutine but after seeing others with it... that will be something to get next time I'm in town.
Great food, great service, my milkshake was tasty. It was busy, but I still got my food pretty quick and of good quality. The cashier was nice.

My job takes me all over Canada and USA. I can honestly say that I have a new winner for Worst Hamburger Ever. Johnees jumps to the top by far. I didn't even finish my cheeseburger. The bun fell apart, the cheese was fused in to the crumbly bun and there was a small butter like smear of chili. I'm not even sure how you can actually make such a patheticly bad cheeseburger. By far THE WORST CHEESEBURGER IN NORTH AMERICA!! The fries and gravy were good though.

Burgers were terrible. Frozen premade patties of low quality that tasted they they were freezer burnt. They definitely tasted off. Iâd expect this at the tail end of the season in September when limping to the finish line, but this quality on Canada Day weekend is just plain shocking.
Fries were lukewarm at best, unsalted and the gravy was watered down and bland.
In their defence they gave us our money back for the burgers.

Disappointed â Not What It Used to Be Johnnieâs used to be the spot for amazing burgers and fries. Sadly, thatâs no longer the case. I went today and was really disappointed. The burger was dry with a patty that tasted like a frozen hockey puck, and the bun was stale. I couldnât even finish one bite. I also ordered a poutine â barely any cheese or gravy. It really feels like theyâve cheaped out on their ingredients. Such a shame to see a once-great place go downhill.

Iâve been going here for years, and nothing about this place has changed. If anything, it got worse. Itâs disappointing that this is basically the only option to eat out there, because I would have resulted in going anywhere else, due to the service. Me and my girlfriends were treated with disrespect. We had asked for extra cutlery and that was an issue, and we asked for mustard/ketchup and I was told âyou already have mustard on your burger so you donât need anymore, but sure hereâs a ketchupâ. I was dumbfounded. This place needs happier workers!
