We had just driven past on the way to look for a place for lunch...Kids wanted a fast food place, but I fought tooth and nail to stop when I saw all the amazing reviews. My husband is an amazing bbq chef himself so l I'm really picky about bbq. It was really amazing. I has the Rachael. Which was basically a pit beef reuben. Bread was amazing and sof the perfect ratio of coleslaw TI dressing and meat.Kids had wings and they loved them with the extra toss on the grill before serving. Not just your typical deep fried wings drenched in hot sauce. We had to try to banana and rice pudding as well. Rich and delicious, both were top notch. Definitely a worthwhile stop!!

I went to Chaps today with high hopes. I ordered my food, the cashier was friendly and helped me make a selection- the 1/2 lb. Burger. I sat on the bench waiting for my food to cook. The cook was touching everything with the same pair of gloves- raw meat, cooked meat, a shovel for the coal and the bag of coal. He then touched my burger with the same gloves repeatedly to see if it was cooked all the way through. I also saw another back of house person eating with gloves on and they didn’t change them or wash their hands. Cross contamination at its finest! I asked for and received a refund. I really wanted to try the bbq. Buyer beware! Make sure you watch your food getting prepared at the place!

Great Restaurant. I come to Aberdeen once a year and dread going because there aren't very many good places to eat. Chaps changed that. I ate there twice and each time enjoyed the meal. Some of the best sandwiches I've had in awhile. I had the Rachel and a regular beef sandwich which were excellent. When I got back home I was wishing we had a chaps near by.
Its a simple place with simple food done with pride. If you like Maryland style pit beef and bbq this place will set you right. I remember going to the other location was I was much younger but when I found out there was a location a bit closer we made the hour drive for it and it was ever bit as good as I remember. The staff was very helpful as well.

The beef was good. The corned beef was a little dry. Surprised the soda was $3.55 each. Had I known I would have gone to the boba tea shop next door.

Bought 2 pit beef sandwiches today and the meat was not edible. Full of gristle and you could not even begin to chew it because it was so tough.
Chaps is always delicious! when I went in to pickup today the staff was sooo friendly and helpful! Thank you for a great lunch as always. I wanted to highlight the employees at the counters today, they were spectacular.

Visiting chaps pit beef in Aberdeen, Maryland on the drive back from New York.
It was OK good not great, I had the beef sandwich and I added tomatoes and lettuce to be more healthy. I don’t usually eat red meat or beef. This was a little bit fatty meat wasn’t too tasty, but maybe I could’ve added some hot sauce. I guess it was OK, sure.

Ribs and bake beans and corn bread muffins was delicious. Will eat here again when I come back to Maryland. NC needs one of these there.

Some of the best BBQ around and tastes just as good as the main location in Baltimore. I had moved to about an hour away from Baltimore so I only made it to Chaps about once a month or possibly less, once the location in Aberdeen opened I was able to go considerably more often.
The sausages, cheese fries, beef and more is all amazing BBQ and I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for some good food. Best of all its decently cheap for BBQ, food for two (3 if you include the food I order to have lunch the next day) for about $25 is a perfect price.

This was my first time here. The turkey was very tender but it was to salty and the fries were saturated in grease.
