Chef Roe's Plates / Caterer

Placed an order for pickup with DoorDash. About 20 minutes later I went to pick up and there was no communication. I tried calling multiple times and then received a text message saying “Yes?” I explained that I was supposed to be picking up my order and they only responded with “closed”. I went through DoorDash to get a refund and probably won’t try again.

Edit to respond to this unprofessional owner: there is no timeline for when I place a review. I posted a review so people know what to expect.

It does not say anything about no pickup. DoorDash allowed it to be place for pickup AND even if I placed for delivery I still would’ve had the same interaction with you. Work on your people skills, it’s pretty important when you work in the industry you choose.

I truly don’t know where to start. But I will say this, Chef Roe is very detailed and precise on the way he prepares his food. He takes pride in his craft and when you take a bite of whatever he prepares and I mean whatever..you truly do get a taste of greatness. I had Salmon, broccoli, mac & cheese and a baked potato. When I say everything was cooked to perfection, it truly was. Everything was seasoned well and the presentation was on point. I’d highly recommend you at least try something and I promise you no matter what that choice is you won’t be disappointed. Thank me later!

Blackened Cod x coconut braised kale x garlic mash…. This was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The perfect blend of flavors cooked to perfection. I’m looking forward to more great meals prepared by Chef Roe.

We had a truly wonderful experience with Chey Roes wonderful food. We were celebrating a special event at the last minute and Chef Roe was able to accommodate 35 colleagues and myself. The steaks were PHENOMENAL and cooked to perfection. The scallops were pan seared to Gordon Ramsey standards and the brussel sprouts were bursting with flavor! If you are looking for a one of a kind chef who uses quality ingredients AND who will cater to your needs at the last minute THIS IS YOUR GUY! This was our first time using his catering services but certainly will not be our last. Chef Roe’s Plates/Caterer is ABSOLUTELY worth it and definitely one of the best around!

My wife and I frequently eat out or carry out meals. Being new to the Middle River / Carroll Island area we have tried nearly all the eateries from here to Dundalk. Of those really only 1 or 2 had great food. Then we discovered Chef Roe's Restaurant. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks with vegetables, grits and dessert. The steaks were honestly the best tasting I have ever eaten.....and by a long shot!! We have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the country......nothing holds a candle to these. Unbelievable!! So tender and flavorful including a fresh made Chimchury sauce. I have been bragging to everyone since. Then top it off with Red Velvet waffles for dessert...lightly garnished with a powder sugar. You MUST try Chef Roe's food. It really is a cut above.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of having Chef Roe's soulfood. Specifically, I had the ribs, Mac and cheese, garlicky string beans, and candied yams and all I can say is OMG! The ribs were sooo tender and seasoned to perfection, it didn't even need sauce and I usually always have sauce on my ribs. Next, the Mac and cheese...OMG it was sooo cheesy and melt in your mouth good. On to the yams...I mean they were the perfect amount of sweet and it also just melted in my mouth! Lastly, the garlicky string beans had the perfect combo of tenderness and crunch! I wish I had pictures to share but I went to taste it and couldn't stop. I ate my entire plate and loved every single bite! Idid not have to add seasoning to anything because everything was seasoned to perfection! I'm so happy I found this place, I really am! I can't wait to try Chef Roe's other soulfood options, I already know they will be amazing :-)
