Basmati Indian Restaurant

I was meeting my daughter's boyfriend's parents for the first time. I never tried Indian food. I had a chicken dish and it was great.

The good is mediocre at best. Might be OK for people who like bland food, but this is not good Indian food. I had the Saag Paneer, there were no spices at all in it. I understand not making g it too spicy heat wise, but give it some flavor. Even the rice (chaval) did not have good flavor. The chai was awful! My favorite thing in India was having a wonderful cup of chairs from a street vendor. You won't find that here. There are much better Indian restaurants, especially one in Ellicott City. We should have driven there.

It has been great. Food and service, all were right. I like it here and I recommend.

Great food and good service.

I went to this place so many times to eat the buffet but the problem with this place is they offer the same food the whole year, the menu is always the same. Their Naan is always half cooked. They offer so many different varieties but it doesn't have taste, they are not even mild and looks like they dont put salt in the food. People these days love to eat spicy food or atleast mild, they need to change their menu and the taste of the food as well as cook the food good.

We rece8ved our food through Door Dash so I couldn't rate the atmosphere. The food was packed very well in containers and wrapped with foil. Well done no leaks and the food, while not pipping hot, was hot enough not to require reheating. Quality was exceptional. Everything tasted fresh and well spiced we ordered Chicken Tikka, Lamb Vindaloo, Papri Chaat, Garlic Naan. We started with the Papri Chaat. Wonderful combination of wheat chips, chickpeas, yogurt, spiced up with just a little heat. Exceptional. I could have eaten only that. The chicken tikka was also well prepared. Tender and perfect with the level of medium heat my wife likes. Lamb Vindaloo was a bit more tomatoee than I'm used to, but I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely order it again. The naan was superb - soft chewy with nice balance of garlic and butter. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Basamati.

This staff at Basmati were very pleasant, the food wad very tasty and the portion were generous. I have told a number of friends about thins gem in Annapolis. Highly recommended.

I recently moved to the area and have been in search of a new go-to spot for quite sometime until I found Basmati. I now order from there twice a week! The food is immaculate, tastes great, good value, very authentic. You can tell the management and staff takes pride in everything they do. The atmosphere was clean, warm, and inviting. I can’t stress enough how well made all of the food is, especially the curry and desserts! 11/10 this place is fantastic! -Jordan

Buffet lunch was pretty good. It wasn't the best I've seen, but it was good. The prices were far better than I expected. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the buffet area was clean.
