Very friendly service Good food choices cover a wide range for meat, seafood, vegtables etc. Good choice of small plates to share The mashroom ravioli is a very good pick. For vegetarians, I found it a bit extra salty, but still good. The drink choices were very detailed from wine to cocktails to a few good selections of tea... Which felt like heaven affer the walk in below freezing temp to the restaurent. The servers were very friendly. Busy, yet not noisy place.

Food is food. And the food at Blackwall Hitch is superb. Really excellent. In my experience, the best in Annapolis. As good as some chow is in some Annapolis favorites, Blackwall is simply far better—in quality, freshness, portion size, and in so important presentation. Clearly, the chef cares about and is skilled in the whole experience, from the customer’s first impression when the course is placed before the diner to the final flavorful taste that leaves one simply—and completely—satisfied.
But you know what? None of that would matter too much without a delightful and memorable complete dining experience. And, once again, the Blackwall Hitch experience is superb.
The venue is tastefully and authentically decorated, and the atmosphere throughout is warm and welcoming. The bar is inviting, a truly clean, well-lighted place as one once wrote of another place of refuge. And the dining room and table arrangement plenty roomy … every booth is a private space while never feeling the least bit sequestered.
Tying it all together as magnificently as a good sheep-shank is the staff. These folks are glad to be there and glad you’re there. You feel welcome and at home. Comfortable. Relaxed. They contribute mightily to the whole, superb experience.
Our server was Hallie, and Hallie really brought it all together. Clearly intimate with every dish we asked about, she provided informed advice that helped ensure we made the best selections for our mood and the occasion—from palate-calibrating drinks to appetizing oysters to the cheesecake finale, Hallie was right on target. And the girl must be psychic: there when we needed her, or didn’t know we needed her: we synched with Hallie, and Hallie synched the whole show. Orchestrated, even. Made the whole delicious affair even more delicious. We’re thinking she’s a witch of some sort or another. But a good witch. A good one.
Thanks to Blackwall Hitch and their entire excellent staff, our last dining experience in our beloved Annapolis as we prepared to hit the long and winding road to our new home in Motor City was more than just memorable (as memorable as it was). It was the perfect closer to our Annapolis life.

My family members spent Thanksgiving Dinner at Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis, Md. There were 12 of us. We enjoyed the Service, food and especially the Desserts. I enjoyed the pies and fruits.
This location is amazing! Their live music on the weekends is a hit and their food is top tier. But my favorite thing about Blackwall hitch is the friendly staff and above and beyond customer service. Specifically their service manager Nitara. She is so polite and professional. Everytime shes there, I know me and my family will feel like we’re at home!
