While the ambience was great, the food was not. My meal was overcooked and over salted. It wasn't really edible. I'm not one to usually complain unless it's really bad so I attempted to eat the overcooked fish but could not eat the rice. They offered a side salad to make it right and by the time I got it, my friend was done with her meal. After asking for no onions and dressing on the side, I received a salad loaded with onions and dressing. Now, my friend really enjoyed her meal so take your chances.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a beautifully prepared brunch at Blackwall Hitch. Our waiter Drew was phenomenal, providing exceptional service. The food was both delicious and fresh. I highly recommend this establishment.

Food and service were wonderful. We were given great recommendations for apps and mains. The only drawback was that the entire restaurant was HOT. They had air conditioning but it was very very underpowered to keep the restaurant comfortable. We dined in the evening on a cloudy day with rains that began while there and the temps were still too high in the restaurant. We were told that this was to be remedied in the coming months with renovations. Everything else was great, but climate control definitely needs to be controlled.

We had an early reservation and arrived on time. It took several minutes standing at the hostess station to be asked if we needed assistance. The hostess then got busy taking phone reservations and finally the day manager asked us if we had reservations. The hostess wasn't particularly customer- oriented. Took another 15 minutes for a waiter to ask us for cocktails. I would say at that time the restaurant wa 30% full. We were told the bartender was backed up and apologized for taking so long. Good menu with a lot of different items. I ordered the crab-stuffed rockfish. Unfortunately the rockfish was not thoroughly cooked and had to return. The manager comp'd our desserts but disappointing quality control out of the kitchen. As the restaurant filled the service got slower. Probably won't be back. Others may have a better experience.

Just had a great dinner here. Calamari, NY strip, and red brick chicken. All delicious - the accompanying sides, too. Porshe was our server, and she was awesome. Gave great recs, was on top of drinks, etc., and overall just had good energy.

I had the Creole Rigatoni and asked them to make it extra spicy. This is the first time I've gone to an American restaurant and finished the food, without complaining about anything regarding the food. Awesome place, love the ambience.
Have been to Blackwall Hitch a few times over the years and have never really had a "great" time. With all the options in downtown Annapolis, you'd figure there'd be more pressure to bring it to the next level. You would be mistaken. Got a gift card for Father's Day, so the wife and I decided to head down and use it. We asked for a "secluded" table as we were celebrating (and the restaurant wasn't full) and got put smack in the middle of the main dining room. We had people next to us who sat down a few minutes after us, they were greeted and served drink orders before our waitress (the same one who served them) even made eye contact with us. We finally gave up and flagged down another waiter who took our order, our original waitress finally made her way back and took our order. By that time we were ready to another round of drinks and the manager came over and brought us another round. Then our waitress came back a few minutes later with the same round. We told her that the manager had helped us, she rolled her eyes then walked off. Food came, it was fine. I got a burger and my wife a pizza, both of which are pretty hard to mess up. Check came, we gave them the gift card along with our credit card (we had no idea how much was on the gift card). Manager came back, said the card wouldn't run and that he'd "credit" $50 on our bill. He made an additional charge on the bill, said he needed to keep our gift card to "investigate" the issue and that he'd get back to us. Guess what - he never did. You kind of have to try to screw up this badly. I know we'll never be back unless it's pick up a gift card which I'll probably give to a relative. Order at your own risk, folks. They need, but don't seem to necessarily want your business.

Highly recommend! Came on a recommendation from Tiktok to enjoy the all day Happy hour Monday. I received exceptional service from Neko and Olivia! Food and drinks were great! I tried the Chesapeake flat bread and coconut mango cocktail. Next time I plan to try the southwest salad highly recommended by Olivia. Neko also informed me of The Wine Wednesday! The service made me feel so welcomed so I can't wait to come back again!

I recently hosted my sister's baby shower at Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis, and it was perfect! Our servers, Pete and DJ, were absolutely phenomenal. They were incredibly accommodating and ensured everything went smoothly from start to finish. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly made the event special.
The service was exceptional, and Pete and DJ went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch, which was amazing. The Bloody Mary and mimosa bar added a special touch to the celebration. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff's dedication made the event memorable.
We will definitely be coming back to Blackwall Hitch for future events, and we look forward to hosting our next gathering with the Titan group.

Overall food was great. Would suggest less old bay on the naan that comes with the crab dip. The sauce in the steak was a little salty. Overall very good, enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.

Rick and Ava waited on us. They were absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!!! We plan to come back on the specials days. They really listened to what we liked and recommended the best days to come back. We totally felt like family!!!! The food was AMAZING and the ambience was great, for sure. But the absolute best part was the customer service and how they made us feel like family!!!!!
