the world’s best crab cakes are in annapolis. and boatyard grill has annapolis’ best crab cakes. beautifully large, with big lumps of good quality crab meat, and it’s all fresh- no added flavors but the crab’s natural goodness itself. this place is bucket list worthy, and the service is great- jenna was super kind and attentive!

We ordered the rockfish tacos, they were excellent! Coleslaw was delicious. Cream of crab soup wasn't too thick and was perfectly seasoned with Sherry. Parking was challenging, as usual anywhere near Downtown Annapolis.

Food selection was good with lots of interesting choices. Prices are on the higher side for the value.
Crab soup was good and filling. Well done.
Artichoke dip was good with visible chunks of crab in it. Bread was toasted nicely.
Famous crab cake was mediocre. Just a lump of crab with some undercooked seasoning inside that was kinda caked. Looked like it sat under a lamp for a while. Very expensive but at the same time it was a ton of crab. The smashed potatoes it came with were the star of the night shockingly. The kale salad was an afterthought. Would recommend something with more lemon and freshness to the dish.
