The upstairs area was spacious, food was quick and delicious. The service was great! Here's a picture of "Big Buddy Crab Cake Sandwich".

I was first mesmerized by this restaurant’s cream of crab soup when I first attended the Maryland Seafood Festival ver a decade ago.

The award winning establishment also offers all forms of seafood that can be fried, steamed or grilled.

As an appetizer we also ordered, fried oysters, oysters Rockefeller, oysters Chesapeake and a crab cake to round out the starters.

In the past, I remember that they used to sell cans of the crab soup and I was little disappointed to learn that this was discounted, but I guess that’s an excuse for me to go back.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a large staircase to take to restaurant area. I didn’t see an elevator for wheelchair access.

Living here for more than 33 years, we have been here for brunch too many times to count. Now what used to be a friendly and fair priced atmosphere has changed. Shooting their brunch price to 29.95 per person with zero change to the offerings is just showing the family has lost touch with the neighborhood. Money over all else will drop thier business to nothing. Tooo many other offerings more competative on pricing as well as offerings. Did not come back for Brunch and probably never will. Shame on the familiy.

Well, I had high hopes, especially after the amazing raw oyster platter- however- someone in the kitchen can't cou t and shorted two from what we ordered. They were great though! With a name having ribs in it- I assumed the ribs would be a shining star. Not so much. They were just okay. The
soft shell crab was over breaded and actually wa supposed to be sauted- not a lot of attention to details. No drink refills were offered and the service overall could have been better. Not a place would recommend when annapolis has so many great places to try.

The good: large portions. Hush puppies were great! The ribs were good as was the crab dip and fried pickles. The bad: the potato salad is eh, the Angus burger was incredibly salty. Both the coconut shrimp and the steamed shrimp had no flavor. The ugly: the chicken sandwich was salty and the chicken was inedible. The overall vibe was sticky/dirty and the men's bathroom had black mold on the ceiling tiles.

The restaurant greeted us with a vibrant atmosphere. The crab platter we ordered was visually appealing, artfully arranged with a variety of seafood that caught my eye. It didn’t take long for the first disappointment the potatoes nestled underneath the crabs were disappointingly soggy. A fresh, crispy side could have accompanied the seafood better, elevating the overall experience.
The corn, on the other hand, was decent and added a nice touch. Our waitress was friendly and took time to explain how to properly crack and enjoy crab. She didn’t check on us frequently, which would have been appreciated considering the wait we encountered for our butter. After a long period of anticipation, I resorted to retrieving the butter myself. I must point out that the seating arrangements at Buddy's Crab could be challenging for those with claustrophobia. The tables are positioned so closely together that it felt quite cramped, making it an uncomfortable dining experience. If you're sensitive to tight spaces, this might not be the ideal restaurant for you. While a bustling vibe can be fun, I believe there should be balance especially if the restaurant isn't operating at full capacity. Spacing the tables apart would greatly enhance the comfort of the patrons and create a more enjoyable atmosphere. My visit to Buddy's Crab yielded a mixed review. The food was decent but didn’t leave a lasting impression. For those considering a visit, it might be wise to check how packed the restaurant is before committing to an evening of crab and fun with folks.
