with the champagne vinaigrette. I could eat that every day. Piled high with crab and seafood, so delicious.

The service and food were good. I enjoyed my crab cake and the oysters. I didn't care for the house salad because it had celery in it and the cream of crab soup had alot of crab meat, however the flavor was a little different. I wouldn't get it again. My cocktail was delicious, I cant remember the exact name but its purple.

Food looked good at first, but we were in for a nasty surprise. When I bit into my fish and chips, there was nothing but breading that had the texture of styrofoam and at the end there was a moldy taste to it. Another family member ordered the eastern shore Cobb salad, and the blue cheese and tomatoes had a moldy smell and mildew-like taste, with the ham being low quality for the type of restaurant it is. Our Tuna Tartare the we ordered as an appetizer was awful as well, it was very salty, partially cooked in spots, and was served warm and drenched in soy sauce with no other flavor but soy sauce, this is a food poisoning risk! Overall I will never come back to this place ever again and a health inspector needs to inspect to place because of how weird the food tasted and smelled. Very misleading reviews. FYI-tourist trap.

From the moment you step into Choptank, you’re welcomed with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family. The food is consistently outstanding. fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The waterfront view adds a touch of serenity that makes every meal feel like a getaway.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. Every visit is met with warm smiles, attentive staff, and an atmosphere of genuine care. It’s clear that the team is led by someone who values excellence, and it shows in every detail.
I’ve been here multiple times, and each experience is better than the last. If you’re anywhere near Annapolis, make sure Choptank is at the top of your list. You won’t be disappointed!

I arrived with a large party for a business dinner. It was in the middle of a thunderstorm so all doors were down and the place was a bit noisy and stuffy. The food was excellent. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and the Maryland crab cake platter. The fries were okay but loved the cakes. I got to try 3 flavors of their wings, their clams and lobster tails and all were delicious. I would recommend on a day were there is no planned storm and you may get a slight better experience of breeze flowing and less noise.

Went on the 4th of July. Our party wanted to sit outside on the upper patio. A bartender on the first floor told us to walk upstairs and be seated. Once upstairs, staff there told us we had to walk back downstairs. A little annoying, but after 5 minutes, we were seated on the upper patio, but at one of the few tables without any shade. We were literally the only party outside. We asked the waitress if we could move, and she agreed. For food we ordered the medium seafood tower for $82. This was enough for 2 people but it was advertised for 4 people. Unfortunately those in my party who did not order from the raw bar had their food come out about 15-20 minutes before us. This was upsetting, and no apology or explanation was given. I will say though that the waitstaff / our waitress were attentive. It seems though that the host staff needs training. Overall, I would recommend this place, but be patient as it is slow for food and expensive.

Food? Amazing. Atmosphere? Fantastic. Service? I wanted to hire Daniel and take him with me everywhere as a personal server. Not only is he hilarious, he’s attentive, and makes you feel like you’re the only table in the whole place. It was his last day of training, but it was the best service i’ve ever had in my life.
I will admit, we had a few drinks and even asked to tell the manager how fantastic he was, which is something i’ve never done. i’ve never been so impressed with someone.
If you eat here , make sure to get the crab dip and ask to sit in Daniel’s section.

Wanted outdoor seat to enjoy the night, but upon arriving was told we could not sit outside due to an "incoming storm". After being seated indoors under a ceiling fan and my wife being cold and having to wear a sweater, i see other people coming in maybe 10 mins later after us being seated outdoors and heading up stairs to the 2nd level that is also outdoors (where we wanted to be seated). The waitress we had forgot the drink that my wife asked for & needed to be reminded twice to bring it. Other than the "issues" that we faced, the restaurant is very nice and the food was great.

From the very beginning, our visit was disappointing. Our server was very absent. We sat 10 mins or so before she even came to the table. We ordered drinks and apps. By the time we received our drinks- about 15-20 mins later, the ice was melted and the large ice ball was about completely melted. They must've been sitting at the bar for a long time. I sent my drink back and never bothered ordering another. We never received plates for our oysters, the wrong salad was brought out resulting in an even longer wait for it to be corrected. The main course finally came. The steak and sea bass were cooked fine. The potatoes were gummy, like they had been reheated many times and the dirty rice was so dry, we sent it back too. We will never return.
