Went there Saturday night for my 73 Birthday The staff was wonderful the food was delicious I had the crab cake platter I wished I would of taken pictures of all the food we ordered There was 7 of us, we were to busy eating . I will definitely be going back Thank you for making my Birthday special

Choptank is fabulous every time I go. The rooftop patio has a great atmosphere and views of the water. They have always been accommodating to my kids. Last time we went for brunch and it was great as well- definitely get a bloody mary!

Called in a takeout order for carrot cake in Annapolis. My wife and I were visiting and staying at a nearby hotel. I went to pick it up and was told they don't have carrot cake and informed me that I may have called the Baltimore location. I instead ordered cheesecake and called the number back to let them know I would not be arriving to pick up the carrot cake. I offered to pay for the order as it was my mistake, but Sarah, the kind person that had taken my order, refused. My cheesecake arrived carried by a kind bartender and said that Elsa, the manager, said 'no charge'. I tried to pay but she refused,. This is the kind of service that wins lifelong customers. I will be back. I did some research and I am not surprised that the Smith brothers have a huge and growing enterprise of restaurants. That kind of service costs little relative to the return it brings... thank you!

Reserve a table if it’s December or summertime. Now, you may get lucky-we grabbed a cancellation today and last visit they made a seat for us. This place is delicious!!! I loved the crab bisque-flavor was there, I would have enjoyed larger chunks of crab but overall-chef’s kiss! We also ate scallops, brussel sprouts, chicken wings, Mac and cheese, and beets goat cheese spread. All 5 star. The scallops were perfectly seared and the beet goat cheese spread appetizer was soooo good!! Our drinks were also well made- a margarita and a Bloody Mary. Our server, the hostess and our food runner were all happy, efficient, professional, helpful and took wonderful care of us! Love it here whether pulling up by boat and docking out front or walking in after visiting the seasonal holiday market.

We visited for the atmosphere, hoping to enjoy the nice breeze outside and some seafood.
We ordered half a dozen XL blue crabs for $60, boiled seafood for $40, drinks, and an appetizer to share. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. Despite the high price, the blue crabs had very little meat—mostly shell and far from satisfying.
The boiled seafood was okay at first, but when I got to the small blue crab, it was clearly not fresh. The meat was slimy and had a strong, off-putting smell.
Honestly, I expected more from a restaurant of this caliber. The service was just okay; we weren’t checked on much throughout the meal.

Food ( Fish and chips and Maryland Crab dip) was average for price paid. Fish seemed slimmy. Mussels were actually good.
Service was a bit slow and no straws for water. Bar mirrors need a thorough cleaning ( very dirty).
For a high end restaurant it seemed low end. Definitely needs to be reevaluated and cleaned.

Absolutely impressed and excited to return! This place has surpassed all expectations. My husband and I traveled to MD for Thanksgiving and to celebrate his 40th birthday, and luckily stumbled upon this place. This is the best meal I’ve had in a while. From the service to the ambiance, to the impeccable cuisine, The Choptank ranks top 5 favorite restaurants for me and my 33 (almost 34 years) of life! The best Maryland crab cake I’ve ever had. Will 100% return!

Enjoyed dinner here but had some issues. The acoustics at this place are terrible. The restaurant itself is beautiful but you can’t hear anything other than noise. It would be nice to be able to talk to the people you’re with! The food was good and after they brought Nashville chicken instead of regular, they were quick to fix the issue. The manager came by more than once to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. Points for that. Beautiful place, good service..it would just be nice if they took that one extra step to make the atmosphere a little more pleasant. Hoping they do

Great location, clean and attentive staff. The menu was small with limited cocktail selections. The fish and steak meals are a la carte with family size sides. Would have preferred an individual meal option. The food was just ok. Seafood pasta was bland, however shrimp were huge.
