Got married here and it was a wonderful experience, a little quick but the pictures were perfect!

The marriage license department was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions. Our wedding officiant was exceptional and very friendly. I highly recommend having your ceremony here!

Do not get married here, I had such a sad experience, my mom had to rally everyone that was coming and finding parking here is hard. She came 1-2 mins after my scheduled time and they yelled at her when she tried to come in. I don’t understand why, if my slot was for 30 minutes then why she can’t come in.
I didn’t mind if the door opened during the vows and I told them she was right behind me and they didn’t want to make an exception.
These people literally screamed at her when she walked up to the door because she didn’t know.
I went in at my start time because I didn’t want to risk losing my slot and hoped that she’d be let in anyways since I told them I didn’t mind. Looking back I should’ve walked out and left. I can only imagine how my mom probably felt in that moment. Probably felt like I left her behind on purpose and then to top it off to get screamed at.
They could have waited but they don’t care.
I could understand if we were asking to wait 10 minutes or more but I went in on time and my mom was going thru security.

Looking back at the photos from that day really hurts because I thought I was smiling in them but I was clearly upset.
I hope they give future couples the decision to choose if they want to let people in after the door closes and after the vows have started. If the guests miss part of it, that it shouldn’t matter as long as the couple getting married are present.

To think that Baltimore City Court did far better in the overall experience with my cousin’s civil marriage is actually surprising to me.
Baltimore city court had such a welcoming and pleasant officiant who didn’t rush thru the vows and she even let us know we could hang out in the chapel for a bit since our slot hadn’t yet ended. The person at Anne Arundel made it feel like they wanted us out immediately even though we still had 15-20 mins left.

***Also if you decide to marry here, double check that they spell your name right for your marriage license. My husband overlooked a small error because he trusted them to be competent enough to actually LOOK at the my documents with my name on it,,,, the papers that they ReQuiRe you to bring in.
They misspelled my name and we ended up paying a fee to correct it because they failed to do it right the first time. I believe that if they have all the documents in their hand then they need to double/triple check for spelling.

Overall an unpleasant experience in this part of the courthouse

Even with new evidence these people still try to lock you up they want to get something on you even if there's nothing to get on you just to put you in jail

Our legal system can be taken advantage of by nefarious people way too easily and there aren't enough checks and penalties in place to stop it.

We had a helpful and wonderful experience here! Everyone I encountered was very knowledgeable. I brought my 5 year old son, everyone was so nice to him and took the time to teach him a few things.

Don't sleep on courthouse weddings!!!!

For those within the court administration and judiciary who perform their duties diligently and treat everyone with fairness, respect, and equal justice, the public extends its thanks and honors you.
For others:
If the clerks were in the position of someone seeking public assistance from a public institution, would they be satisfied with the rudeness, indifference, incompetence, and crude treatment they themselves exhibit at this court, both in-person and over the phone? It seems to be a network of an inner circle where case information is shared, and judgments are cast based on how someone higher up "feels" about you, impacting every interaction within this system.

Please, just do your job without the attitude. As civil servants in customer-facing roles, you chose this profession, which requires treating people civilly. Additionally, work up to the publicly displayed times, as many have complained about this issue. There is clearly a need for improvement and better leadership.

My couple and I had no issues when coming for their wedding day. There was no wait at all they got very lucky. The officiant was extremely nice and also cared about the couple getting the best photos they could. There were no restrictions for photography and I even asked if she could step out of the way for the kiss and she was happy to.

A place where lies are celebrated and adults tell the judge you spoke nasty to them over the phone…Poor Babies ????

Would recommend another location for ceremony. We were on time but ceremony wasn’t started until 10 mins in. It was so rushed like insanely fast. On my special day the officiant made a comment about there being others waiting to be married. Yikes save yourself the embarrassment and just do a park or something. So unprofessional I will never recommend this courthouse to anyone looking to get married.

A simple and beautiful location for a wedding. The staff in the Clerk's office is helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our ceremony, thank you.
