Went Friday, food was a 7-8 out of ten, drinks were good. Went tonight... Oh my. Service was slow, drinks missing garnishes (how do you screw up and old fashion?) and the steak and burgers were undercooked, a lot! Add to this even some of the fries were not cooked! Wow. They took off one entree and the bill was still 90 for inedible food. Missed the mark on so many levels.

Nate provided exceptional service and was very attentive! Not only did he recommend the best drinks he was very personable and checked on us a lot. Love him!

Great cocktails and bartenders

What an experience! I can't believe that I've never been to Annapolis before, and that the service here was so bad! I went to Dry 85 around 1pm on a Tuesday, and damn, was the experience noteworthy. My group of three arrived, saw there was no host, and sat at the bar. Aside from us three, there was a booth of four, a booth of two (who had waters at the table), one guest at the end of the bar, and a table of two who walked in around the same time we did. We waited to be greeted for a few minutes (5 mins max) and got anxious that no one was coming. I contemplated leaving and going to another establishment. The bartender came from the ether with food in hand, and dropped the food off to the guest at the end of the bar. They promptly asked for silverware when their food arrived. We were grateful to see someone who worked there and waited patiently for menus. My friend (The DD) politely asked for a Shirley Temple, and the bartender replied, "seriously?" , which made me feel the need to explain that she would be driving. After the snide comment, my other friend decided not to get a beverage, but since we were already sitting there, I decided to get a cocktail. I ordered the El Presidente, the bartender took my vertical out-of-state ID to inspect it, and said I could order it. I was watching while he was making my cocktail, and noticed that rather than straining the ingredients into a glass with fresh ice, he dirty poured the ingredients and the ice into the glass. I wouldn't have known the term "dirty pour" unless I had worked as a bartender. After I got my drink, the bartender went to greet the 3-4 top sitting in a booth, and greeted them by saying "did you want to sit at a clean table?" implying that they had sat themselves at a dirty one, further insinuating that they were in the wrong for sitting there, even though there was no one to seat them. Again, another snide comment, albeit rude. I also heard the bartender make some comments to another table about how he had other tables that didn't have waters yet. The drink itself would have been enjoyable if I hadn't felt the need to gtfo of there as soon as I could. Im obviously from out of state, and genuinely, I don't have the highest expectations from bartenders. I get it - being busy and waiting on the kitchen for food and being the only bartender can make the work rather stressful, and I want to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt. I was looking forward to having a really good experience here, and it was unfortunately cut short. In the end, all I can say is that this confirmed my own personal experience with individuals named Matt - they're almost always going to let you down and hurt you in the process.

Good food, great drinks, and absolutely fantastic service. Sweet potato fries FTW, regretted not getting the Brussels sprouts, smelled fantastic on the next table.

Was looking for a great burger, and was really looking forward to try this place after reading the ratings and reviews. Very disappointed. Ordered a Dry 85 burger medium well and paid extra $4 for fries. Burger was completely pink. Sent it back, and received a new burger with the same fries from the original order, yes the fries were cold. Burger flavor was surprisingly bland considering the bacon, pulled pork and slaw. Got a hit of the bourbon from the bbq sauce on the first few bites, but after that, nothing. Didn't get refills on our drinks until our glasses were empty and our meal was finished. Great atmosphere, but...

Best cocktails in town

Dry 85 has one of the most creative cocktails menus in downtown Annapolis. Situated on Main Street which means street parking is challenging, so your best bet is the parking garage nearby. Inside it is dark and slightly industrial looking small space. The servers have always been friendly. I mostly go for the drinks, but you can't go wrong with veggie burger or the fries. The fries are really good if you're a connoisseur of fresh cut and freshly fried ones. Theirs are slightly thicker cut like how the British do their chips. Here they garnish with Parmesan, garlic, and parsley.

This place has good food and drinks, but it is not worth the cost. My friends and I ordered a $15 plate of fried pickles that the waiter recommended for the table. Upon receiving the plate, we were shocked. There were 7 half inch slices of pickles on the plate. This could not even feed a rabbit. I recommend that if you want to eat out for a reasonably priced plate of food, this might not be the place for you.

Fried Pickles were a scam!!! $15 for 7 tiny slices of chick-fil-a sized pickles. Very expensive and not worth.

So many good looking drinks on the menu and made fresh. Service at the bar was good! The bees knees was delicious! Want to go back and try their bacon brunch.Parking: There is street parking out front ($3-4 an hour with the park mobile app) or a garage down the road

TL;DR: Matt M. was the rudest bartender we’ve had and clearly didn’t want to serve most of the people there on Saturday night (or maybe just the women). He complained about having to work on Saturday, rushed us to order, and showed annoyance with serving us. When we decided to leave due to his behavior, he ignored our request to cash out and continued chatting with others. When walking out, another customer outside overheard us speaking and informed us she had also experienced poor service from him and had to leave!Main review: We were offended by the bartender's, Matt M., service. When we got there, he urged us to hurry with our drink orders, stating he had to serve the entire bar (even though it wasn’t even a third full). He neglected to provide water, and instead of checking on us, he engaged in lengthy conversations with other people. He seemed to mainly ignore the women in the bar. When we attempted to place a second order, he didn’t acknowledge he heard our orders, and instead rudely stated “I heard you the first time” when we tried to repeat the order. At that point, we decided to cash out instead of getting another drink with him. Matt M. ignored our request to check out with our credit card, but he continued socializing, so we scraped up what cash we had to settle our bill. When walking out, another customer outside confirmed she had also experienced poor service from him. We’ve normally had great experiences at Dry 85, but we’ll be walking straight out if we see Matt there again.
