When we want to go out to dinner and want a restaurant that we know will always provide great food and excellent service we go to Jalapenos! Don't be fooled by the strip mall location. As soon as you step inside this lovely and welcoming restaurant you realize this is going to be not just a meal but a wonderful dining experience!

I never thought I’d be writing this review, because I’ve been a fan of Jalapeños in Annapolis for decades. Unfortunately, today’s experience was so disappointing that I feel it’s necessary to share. At 4pm today, two friends and I arrived for Happy Hour. One of my friends is a senior, recovering from a stroke, and uses a cane. She was clearly unable to sit comfortably or safely at the high bar stools, so the host kindly seated us at a nearby table with regular chairs in the dining area. The restaurant was completely empty - because it's Monday at 4pm 😐 Shortly after, we were told the manager needed to “approve” Happy Hour service at that table. When he arrived, his response was that if he allowed it for us, he’d “have to allow it for everyone.” This, despite the fact that THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY and we have supported this restaurant for years, spending countless evenings (and dollars) at the bar during Happy Hour. We left, and sadly, we won’t be returning. Once the original owner/manager left, the service quality began to slip, but this was the final straw. To deny a loyal customer—who has accessibility needs—a simple accommodation in an empty restaurant shows a complete lack of customer service and compassion. After decades of being one of our local favorites, Jalapeños has lost us as customers. Deeply disappointing.

In an old school shopping plaza next to a nail spa and dollar store. Unassuming restaurant and bar. BUT the food is amazing. Everything spiced just right.

Probably some of the best margaritas and tapas in town! Don't be fooled that it's in a strip mall off of Forest Drive. The dining room is a beautiful, intimate setting. Bar is great too. Every once and awhile they have live music too.

Jalapeños did not disappoint! The tapas were out of this world—each one bursting with flavor and perfect for sharing (though you might not want to). The margaritas? Delish! Fresh, balanced, and just the right kick. And save room for dessert—seriously. It was the cherry on top of a flawless meal. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere cozy but lively. Sonya was the sweetest most genuine server I have ever encountered.
