I have been a patron here for a very long time: the new owners have done an excellent job, keeping the heart of the original vision, while still making it their own. I will keep coming back. Bring a sweater (if you are sensitive to air-conditioning) but also, Management is incredibly kind and receptive and if you want the air turned down all you have to do is ask :)
We were surprised and disappointed by Level. We did not expect a meal out to seem like work. Neither the hostess or the waiter were welcoming. We did not get through even half of our pre-dinner cocktail before most of food arrived. The waiter suggested 2-3 small plates per person so we ordered 4 in total for the two of us. The waiter mentioned that the dishes would come out as they were ready. We didn't expect to have three of the four dishes brought out at roughly the same...
Excellent! Flavorful small plates, just the right size for sharing, timed well to arrive at the table after finishing one it seemed the next was just arriving. Unique, clever crafted cocktails including the Liberty Torch which had a flaming lemon hull/raft with a carmelized sugar cube on fire floating in it and The Alchemist's Pour with a smoke filled bubble made on top at the table. Fortunately we got seated on the restaurant side which was moderately noisy as we walked...
