As an Annapolitan, I can tell you this IS the best brunch. Great selection and the food is amazing. The bartenders are all really great and always seem to remember our drinks (always amazed when people can do that) and the managers always check on you to make sure everything is perfect. Also, the eggplant lasagna is one of my go to meals for comfort food. Just an overall great restaurant.

Was seated just to be left there for about a half hour before we decided to leave. Host walked by us many times. Two thumbs down.
Our host was the big girl with the purple hair.

We rented out the rooftop for a private party a couple of weeks ago, and it was absolutely amazing. Tom was easy to work with to make the arrangements. It’s a beautiful space, and we had excellent food (a buffet of appetizers, which were very well received by our guests - especially the chicken sliders, crab dip, and shrimp cocktail) and great drinks. Shoutout to Alyssa who was awesome behind the bar, and to Christian who worked very hard on a warm day to keep everything else running smoothly. Highly recommend.

We stopped by after SongwriterFest and the restaurant unexpectedly got very busy late at night. Our food took a while to come out but the Manager Chris went out of his way to make it right for us. Food was also very good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

The gnocchi was fabulous and I don’t even like gnocchi. We ate on the rooftop and had great food and service with a great view. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was great from the moment we walked in the front door and the bartender greeted us like we were family. Allysa the hostess seated us immediately and was friendly and accommodating. Our waitress Kim was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and made some terrific suggestions. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to get back.

Went to Annapolis for an overnight trip recently to see a show. Went to the Metropolitan for dinner and when I got to the show I realized I'd left my credit card (I never do that!). I called up the restaurant and spoke with Alyssa who said they were open till 11 and closed until 4 the next day. Since I couldn't get there that night and was leaving early the next morning she was generous enough to stop by the hotel I was staying at to drop it off on her way home since it was on her way home. I'd have gone back to this place for the food alone - the home fries/potatos that came with the black bean burger were a perfect combination of baked potato and french fry (why do more places not cook them this way?). Factor in the reasonable happy hour drink prices, good atmosphere and exceptional (above and beyond!!!) service, and 5 stars doesn't seem sufficient. Special thank you to Alyssa!

I stopped in at 4pm for the happy hour and just wanted something quick. Ordered the Honey Shrimp. It was JUST OKAY. It was TEPID (not hot), lacked flavor. NO GARLIC, NO SALT, NO FLAVOR. I asked for crushed chili flakes and added salt and pepper. I have never had tepid shrimp with NO garlic. It was 4pm and I was the first customer. The asparagus was fine.
Chris H. was my bartender. He was nice but not a great experience overall. I would not choose to go back. I'm sure it's great for brunch.

Good brunch and bottomless mimosas. Service was a bit slow to actually get drink refills, but the manager stopped by a few times to make up for it.

Stumbled upon Metropolitan while walking around Annapolis and ended up having a great time! The rooftop area was super fun and had a great vibe. We ordered a few shared plates—our favorites were the French fries, truffle gnocchi, and Brussels sprouts. The fig and goat cheese flatbread was a bit of a letdown (not much goat cheese), but overall it was still a really nice experience.

We had a fantastic dinner tonight at The Metropolitan Kitchen. Our appetizers started our amazing meal with lamb lollipops, and we had Met frites. Both were delicious. We knew our entrees would be great just from tasting our appetizers. I had short ribs which were so tender no knife needed, over delicious mashed potatoes and asparagus. The demi glas was flavorful. My husband had the Sunday special, chicken parmesan with penne. Chef's kiss to the chef, excellent sauce and al dente pasta. My daughter has penne alla vodka. Again, al dente pasta with a tasty, creamy vodka sauce with a little bite. Aperol spritz for the win. Great atmosphere and vibe. Chris the manager was friendly and helpful. Our waitress, wish I could remember her name was attentive. Overall a great meal and would highly recommend.

We had my boyfriends’s 30th birthday celebration at Metropolitan, and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We rented out their 2nd floor on a Saturday night, which is their designated space for parties. Gorgeous and spacious area with strong lights and a bar. Helpful and attentive staff. Tom is super responsive and easy to work with. Guests loved the food, and the restaurant provides so many options. We will definitely be hosting another event here in the future!

Second time going here for brunch. I had the breakfast tacos last time and the hash with no ham this time around. Both good but I think the hash just has more flavor and seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were delicious!! Bottomless mimosas are really good as well. Would for sure recommend. Appreciate labeling gluten free options.
