We were seated for 7 minutes before even being acknowledged. We weren’t given any water with our silverware. Parts of my French toast were so hard as if it was stale before being cooked. There were no cheese on my eggs. We weren’t asked how our food was until we were almost done eating. We’ve been here 3 other times and the food and service was great. We are so disappointed and we won’t be back.

A bit let down from my first experience here. Reading other reviews and based off in person recommendations gave me a high level of expectations. For almost $30 after tip I’ve had equivalent experiences at Dennys.

It was a great breakfast experience. Location is nice and so is the service. We tried the pineapple pancakes which were amazing. I wish there more options in the coffee section.

Waitress was so rude. She didn’t introduce herself or let us know she just came over to our table out of nowhere and asked “is water okay for now? Did you want other drinks” I had to ask “are you our server”. She didn’t smile at all not even once, she didn’t take anything off of our table that was empty. She didn’t bring us our food she quite literally just took the order and that was it. So what was the tip even for? It must’ve been her last day….

The atmosphere of the place was nice and the restaurant was located in a convenient part of town. We shared the fried green tomatoes which were well done but needed salt. I ordered the Gravy Train that came with a biscuit, gravy, grits, collard greens, and fried chicken. While the dish was tasty I found it bland. In this instance more salt probably would have helped as well but they mention Cajun seasoning that is undectetable. I can't believe the iced tea was $5, that's ridiculous. The service was efficient but could have been more present and lacked charisma. However, I've been to the Miss Shirley's by Baltimore's Harbor that was what set my initial expectations really high. The place was okay but I wouldn't hurry back.

I recently visited Ms. Shirley’s Café in Annapolis and had a delightful experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy breakfast. My daughter tried their upside-down pineapple pancakes, and they were absolutely delicious—fluffy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend.
