First time visit. Sunday evening. Already had apps and drinks elsewhere and wanted to try some place new for an entree. Osteria does not disappoint. No reservations. Walked in around 6:30pm and got immediate seating on a cloudy, not-too-crowded evening. They gave us a semi-private cornered booth so we could sit next to each other. Meatballs as an app. Split a short rib-stuff ravioli (plated in the kitchen for no extra charge, delicious) and split a slice of pistachio cake. This is definitely a special occasion, event place. Brian (our server) and all the other staff are excellent. Highly recommend.

My husband and I tried this upscale Italian restaurant for the first time on our birthday, and it did not disappoint. Everything was good from the appetizers to the entree and dessert. We loved the lobster bisque soup and the arancini Di risso.
I tried their signature sea bass dish, and it was cooked to perfection; it melts in your mouth. My husband tried their pasta, and it was great!
The service was also amazing, shout out to Charlie, who explained the menu well and gave recommendations. We had crème brûlée for our birthday dessert, which was also delicious. We will be back to try their other dishes. This is a perfect place for a date night in downtown Annapolis.

Been going to Osteria for years. Absolutely the best food and service in Annapolis. Sometimes wish they had take-out because it's so hard to get a reservation unless you know you want to go weeks in advance. It is worth the wait!!!

This is a great place for a romantic dinner, or a celebration. The scallop appetizer was out of this world. The Osso Bucco was delicious, but I had to take some home, the serving size was huge. The fish was perfecton. Arturo is the perfect host, and our group felt very spoiled. Dessert: creme brullee, ice cream, cake were all so so good.

The team and the food are always excellent. We fly from Florida in the winter for the veal chop Parmesan. The pizza cutter makes it fun

This is by far our favorite restaurant. Food is consistently delicious, service, particularly Dimitri, is next level and great wine choices.

Although the food was gourmet, as usual, we were there expressly for a birthday celebration. Known to them, as we are frequent dinners there, the server pointedly asked what vehicle we'd like for the candle - key lime pie? As it seemed this was a complementary offering, even tho I had berries and ice cream with a raging fire at home, we accepted what we thought was their offering. On the bill we were charged $15 for the pie, which we'd never had ordered had we known it was not complimentary. When I asked Demetri, he said he'd have to ask his manager. Additionally, apparently they changed and charged 3% for credit card use. We both had cash, and had we known, would've given cash. When the bill is over $200 for 2 people, additional charges by them seem very petty. It was one of our favorite restaurants, and by the food standards, still is, but now with new management - not so much. Street parking is almost an extra $10, now. It's the little things, sometimes, that make or break an evening.

We had a lovely dinner last night. Our server Charlie was fantastic. From the drinks to the appetizers and the entrees were absolutely outstanding! We can't wait to go back!

Very nice upscale environment. Mauro was an excellent waiter. The Caesar salad I thought was good but nothing really special. My caramelized Childean Sea Bass was the most delicious piece of fish ever. I would get it again. I was very disappointed that was no champagne by the class. There should be in a venue like this. I did NOT want prosecco, but rather a good dry champagne. Desserts were kind of what you'd expect. Nice but not fabulous. The whipped cream I don't think was real but it sufficed. That's a pet peeve for me. Overall our party of four loved it and will go back.

Osteria 177 is our favorite restaurant in Annapolis! We came for a birthday dinner. The food is 10/10. Service was a little slower on this night. We were surprised we didn't receive a special birthday treat after the meal. Lastly, kinda tacky they charge a credit card processing fee to the customer.

Osteria 177 is a fantastic Italian dining experience. Our waiter, Dimitri, was outstanding—he explained the menu in detail, helped us customize dishes, and clearly knows everything there is to know about the sauces. His knowledge of the old-fashioned bourbons was just as impressive, and the drinks were excellent.

The atmosphere was perfect—comfortable, elegant, and quiet enough that you can actually talk and enjoy each other’s company. We were there for over two hours and never once felt rushed. The pacing was spot-on and made for a truly relaxing evening.

Overall, it was a great time and an experience we’ll absolutely repeat. Highly recommend.
