Wonderful restaurant in downtown Annapolis. Nicely curated selection of wines, and the food is delicious. We had the bucatini with curry tomato sauce, which was fantastic. Fresh and inventive menu options. The atmosphere is also lovely. Highly recommend.

I recommend trying this restaurant.

Food was good. I ordered the cheese burger and fries and have no complaints. The whiskey drink and bread were phenomenal. I highly recommend ordering both, and if full take the bread pudding home.

Staff and server were pleasant to be around. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere, but also nothing above my expectations. A little small on the inside, but as expected for the area.

We were sat at the bar and it was stickier than a table at Apple bees. For the pricing on the menu you would expect better.

We were a large group of 15 and the 2 hours passed by quickly because everything was fantastic. The quality of the food puts the Preserve above so many other restaurants. Second, the service was very friendly! The place was not loud, and we were in a really nice spot in the heart of this coast place. The drinks we had was a nice plus to the experience.

Great place, food is something that I would never cook at home, but so tasty. Service is always spot on. The owners are amazing. Overall great place. GET THE BURGER for Lunch.

Try the crispy kale. Even if you don't like kale, its awesome. Great service and food. Lots of good stuff on the menu and nice location on Main street in Annapolis.

A wonderful Main Street gem! The staff on-duty were extremely friendly and welcoming. The staff off-duty sitting around at the bar were extremely rude and disrespectful —be mindful. Aside from that blip, the food is absolutely excellent and well-prepared. Excellent drinks! I highly recommend the Fennell lemon salad & red blend wine.

This is the worst place I've ever been in my life. They ruined our trip to Annapolis, because we were ripped off terribly.
City of Annapolis or chamber of commerce should do something to this kind of bad business for the image of the city.

We've been going to Preserve for a few years, and the idea of the restaurant, fermentation-based food, is excellent. However, our last visit in late September 2025 was disappointing. The house pickle recipe changed and tasted more like a basic quick pickle. The pickles were mostly green peppers. The focaccia was a lovely bread, but the topping overwhelmingly tasted of salt, couldn't get a hint of pepper or herb even though they were clearly fresh and visible. We got a beet salad (good, super small), and 2 house sodas which were excellent. We left hungry and spent more than a normal meal elsewhere. Prices are higher than before, and quality has dipped. The servers were impeccable though, many kudos to all of them. I am very hesitant to recommend the place right now, but with a return to the quality that marked them as exceptional before, they would be a destination restaurant. They have clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan items and a strong drink selection. Can be crowded, I would get a reservation.

The service was nice, the food was mediocre for the “luxury” prices. Almost 40 for a dish. It was apparent the cooks did not care, about the servers, or getting the food out in any decent time. We waited AN HOUR for the food. The steak was over salted, the rainbow trout was drowning in a curry, green-oiled soup that overpowered the fish’s light flavor. Really disappointed. Too expensive for this lackluster, slow, establishment.

I won’t get the names of the dishes right, but we had the kale, salmon, beets, and crab hash browns appetizers; the eggplant pasta entree; and the tomato sundae and bread pudding desserts. And ohhhhhhh myyyyyyy goshhhhhh, what a treat! This place is truly something special. Not crazy about driving all the way to or walking around Annapolis, but I will do it again and again and again to eat here. Delightful service, and music, too!!!
