Thanksgiving Dinner at Ruth’s Chris - reservations were easy to get a couple weeks prior. The regular menu was also available, but our party chose Ruth’s Chris because of a great experience on a prior Thanksgiving as well as it’s just our favorite steakhouse in the area.
This meal didn’t live up to the memories of that last Thanksgiving. Service was okay but our waitress had just our table in the room we were seated in and spent the majority of the time we were there somewhere else. Friendly but perfunctory and adequate service. Definitely a notch down from typical service here.
Everyone ordered the thanksgiving dinner- 3 courses plus side for $45 or $49.
The starter salad was enormous but it’s pretty easy to dress some spring greens and out them on a plate with a couple grape tomato halves, some onion slices and a few croutons. The other options were gumbo and Cesar salad.
The main course was a large slice of nicely cooked turkey with a scoop of dressing. This also came with some whole berry cranberry compote.The plate was served with enough gravy to cover the turkey but not enough for the dressing and the mashed potatoes selected as the side dish. Dressing and potatoes were well made. Extra gravy was $5.
Dessert was pumpkin cheesecake but the waitress said she could substitute another dessert from the menu. That was nice, because I’d planned to take my cheesecake home and pay for the bananas foster. They were out of bananas for the bananas foster by 6pm, which was disappointing. Instead I ordered a different dessert as a substitution; what wasn’t mentioned was that also had an upcharge even though the 2 desserts were priced the same on the menu.
The biggest disappointment though was they did not provide the little snack box as in previous years. That was a nice touch, with a bit of turkey, dressing and cranberry, so you still got a bit of “Thanksgiving leftovers”. Not offered this year ☹️
Parking: There’s no dedicated parking lot but they offer valet service. Otherwise, you can find free on-street parking in the residential area where Ruth’s Chris is located, although you might have to walk a couple blocks.
Champagne Moet Dinner was excellent. Learned about the different types of Champagne. Angelo and Danny gave us superior service. I felt like I was on a vacation without traveling far from home

The service and the food were exceptional! We ordered Calamari and Oysters Rockefeller as appetizers and we both had Petit Ribeye with Lobster Mac and Creamed Spinach for our sides. Everything was delicious! The service was absolutely wonderful. Josh was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a fairly private table to celebrate our anniversary and they even added rose petals to the table. It was a wonderful experience.
If our server hadn't been so good (Josh) I would have asked to see a manager. Our cocktails and a sprite took 35 min to reach our table. We finished our appetizers before they came. The restaurant had dirty dishes all over the place and napkins all over the floor. We paid "fine dining prices" for what felt like a very "casual dining" experience.
Love this Ruth Chris location. My favorite in the country.

Service was lackluster and the food, particularly the proteins, are always overcooked. Honestly, this restaurant caters to an older crowd and the decor is dated.
Nice location near the water. Great atmosphere. Service was ok. The food was even great, and I ordered two crabcakes, Brussel sprouts with honey, caramelized in bacon, so good and sweet potato casserole with pecan. My mouth screamed AMAZING, lol. Everything was delicious 😋

I enjoyed myself at Ruth Chris on 9/15/24, to celebrate my daughter's 29th surprise birthday. The moment I got out of my car and the Nate the Valet, approached the vehicle to ensure, he would care for my vehicle while celebrating. Entering the establishment we were face with a slight concern, because our reservation was upstairs on the second floor. My cousin is on a walker and was unable to walk up the stairs. Unfortunately, the elevator was out, due to a transformer malfunction. Nevertheless, the team worked quickly to provide and accommodate our 20 party guests. Our servers/hists Alexis and Michelle were TOP FLIGHT...even the beautiful ladies busting the tables. I thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
