Have only had Good experience with shopping at Safeway. I'm confused how they are rated 2.3 stars at the time of this review.

Checked out today with a live clerk, not self check. When I got back to the office I realized she did not credit the $6.49 off a potted herb that had a big yellow 50% off tag. So I called, offered to send a picture of the item tag and receipt, and was told no, that I would have to come back to take care of it in person. I can't leave work again and spend another 1/2 hour correcting their mistake, so now this is just my problem. We live in an electronic world, but this store couldn't figure out how to process a credit to my account. They didn't offer to look up my receipt, ask for the credit card number to credit, process a credit against the pending purchase, send a reimbursement check, or even mail a coupon against another purchase. Terrible customer service! I'll take my business to Giant next time.
