First time visitor. Nice place to wind down for a drink and small bite after spending day in Annapolis on the water. More of a raw food place. Our server told us there is no typical cooking equipment just a torch. We had an amazing calamari dish! It was very good. Typically I think of calamari fried. This was torched so it was extremely tender! Would definitely go back to try the oysters!

Sailor Oyster Bar had been one of my favorite spots in Annapolis and I was so happy when it reopened after a long closure due to fire. The food remains disappointing...unfortunately. And I am compelled to give this negative review because the food quality is maybe a 4 but the price is a 1. A single octopus tentacle for $26! One can eat cheaper and better in NYC (or across the street at Metropolitan). I wish this weren't the case. Has ownership lost its way?
The food is fantastic, the service is very attentive. My only ding on atmosphere is that with all the hard wood flooring, furniture, and hard walls, the volume is LOUD whenever the place is full, (which is most of the time).

We’ve visited Sailor Oyster Bar many times, and each experience leaves us excited to return. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday. There was no room for us downstairs so we sat upstairs; it was our first time there, and we enjoyed it, though I still prefer the vibe and atmosphere downstairs. The upstairs does offer its own bar and bathroom, which is convenient. We always order the special of the day, and the oysters were as delicious as ever. We tried a variety of dishes, and every bite was fantastic. The attentive staff, top-quality and creative food, great drinks, inviting atmosphere, and excellent happy hour prices are what keep us coming back. Keep up the amazing work, S.O.B.!
