Overall, our experience at The Lodge was Mediocre. We asked for glasses of water, and said that tap water was fine. The water was poured in our glasses with no ice, and had a fairly strong chlorine taste. We asked for a bottled water and ice - much better. One of my daughters and I had a bowl of French Onion Soup which was very good. My wife and other daughter shared the "Caprese Canoe". For $11.00, it was sparse to say the least. Only 4 small mozzarella balls, some cherry tomatoes and green olives (????). Presentation was good in a wooden "canoe-looking" thing. My wife had the Chesapeake (Pasta dish) and she said it was "okay". My one daughter and I had the NY Strip but substituted Brussel Sprouts in place of the Roasted Farmer's Market Vegetables. The Soup and the Brussel Sprouts were the highlights of the meal. My steak was ordered medium-rare and was more like medium to medium-well. The steak had very little flavor. There was a Red Wine Jus included that didn't taste anything like red wine and didn't improve the overall experience. The lemon and parsley potatoes were okay. My other daughter had the Short Ribs and said they were good. I did have a taste of them and they were better than the NY Strip, but also a little lacking in flavor. Overall, the restaurant looks nice and the service was good but I don't see us going back.

This was my second time dining at The Lodge and the food was fantastic both times. I love the comfy booths and the quiet atmosphere there. Everyone from the host to the waiters are very friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that the waiters are very pushy about trying to get you to order extra things that you do not want. First I was offered 2 different kinds of water in fancy bottles, regular and sparking, which I'm sure were more expensive than the tap water that I requested. It was presented not as an option, but "which one do you choose?" I didn't fall for that one. Then we were told about a special drink that was available - no thanks. Next was a special crab appetizer that was described to us and then we were asked if we were "sold on it?" We were not interested. Then a wine was recommended before we even ordered. My friend already knew what kind of wine she planned to order and I don't drink! And then when we finished our meal our waiter told us that we could get some ribs to take home with us at a special price! He just would not give up trying to sell us extra food to try and make the bill higher! We didn't appreciate it and it put a damper on our dining experience! The food there is excellent, however it is very pricey. We love the ambiance there and the food, however the pushy wait staff has made us think twice about returning!

This was my 2nd time there. And as with the 1st time The Lodge Annapolis was a very joyable experience!!! The staff including the Assistant Manager was very attentive! The restaurant was spotless. I went for the Sunday Brunch......... very good. A large selection! THUMBS UP!!!

We had a great time. Our server was very knowledgable and friendly. Brussel sprout appetizer was a little over done but the fried green tomatoes very good. Large portion sizes.

Most notable about our experience was that the waitress that served us was phenomenal. She was a true delight. Sadly, the food was terribly bland. The manager did kindly comp our meals.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation at 7pm. We were seated at 7:05. Service was a bit slow, but we were keeping an open mind that it could've been due to short staff, but we noted at some point there being 3 waiters at one table. We ordered appetizers and our drinks. Drinks were great! Our appetizers were also good, but unfortunately they arrived within 5 minutes of us receiving our entrees. Food was great, though my plate was a bit cold. Service was a bit disappointing. We'll most likely come again, but it would be nice to see an improvement in the service

Opentable Diner

there are very few brunch buffets in the Annapolis area. yellowfin is now over $60 not including alcohol but has a large selection that cover all three meal options with solid quality. buddy's crabs and ribs is sketchy to say the least and cheaper than all the rest for a reason. the Lodge covers all the seafood bases with large shrimp on ice with oysters and has nice salmon fillet pieces as well. there's decent fried chicken, shrimp and grits, smoked bacon, good quality sausage, made to order omelettes with all the fillings, including crab. then there's big crispy waffles with real heavy whipped cream and fresh fruit. you also get prime rib, not tenderloin, and nice ham sliced to order. a fair, but not very large, amount of other food options were available. the service was adequate and very friendly. it was not too crowded and we were not rushed, even after 2 hours. on the down side we had to ask for a toaster for the bagels, there were no other breads like croissants or brioche or biscuits, just white bread, the cantaloupe required a knife and fork. lastly their desserts promised cookies and pie but there were none of those in the very limited selection of frosted cake doughnuts, biscotti, carrot cake and mini red velvet cupcakes. for us chocolate lovers it was disappointing. a brownie or a sauce would have made a difference. the manager, Anthony, was very attentive and the staff was happy to be there and help. the music was very eclectic shall we say. lol. overall, for $48 it was a good deal and the quality was very good across the board. it's certainly our go to spot now and we drove 40 minutes to get there. ps. their half price pizza deal on Tuesday is a real bargain. the short rib, a house specialty, version for $12 is delicious and a bargain!!

One family member tried to make a reservation on Open Table, looked full. However, another member opened the app and found plenty of availability. Just a heads-up

Took my husband for Father's Day and everything was great. Food, service and ambience. We will definitely be back.

Our waiter was not as attentive as we'd like, keeping us there longer than we wanted to be. The carbonation in the drinks was flat and the food was bland. The consensus between my family was the experience was “just okay”. The serving sizes were good, and the apple cinnamon bread pudding saved the night. No plant-based options.

Food was good but not memorable due to the large crowd on Fathers Day and the malfunctioning of waffle maker. The omelet station was the best. Service was superb. Will have to try again when it is not a special weekend or holiday. Not as impressed as I would have liked to been for the cost. Four adults $250. Seemed as though they were rushing g you out for the dinner crowd. We had reservations for 1:15. The water tasted as if it was straight from the faucet. They did offer sparkling water for a cost.

The brunch was delicious with a great amount of variety. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate Father's Day.

We went for Father's Day and it was a buffet. Ugh! I had called to make sure it was off the menu ordering and was assured it was. Upon being seated (we could see the buffet) we asked for regular menus and were told it was buffet only and that is ‘much easier for everyone' Excuse me, but you see my father in a wheelchair- a buffet is a nightmare for him and the fact it was on a high bar meant he couldn't serve himself, not ADA friendly at all. He's a proud man and didn't show that he was sad, but I know he was and I feel awful about taking him to a place that he was reminded of his disability many times. On top of it all, food was meh, not worth the cost. We generally like it, we will stick to non holiday meals

My friend and I ordered steaks that were prepared perfectly. The vegetables were succulent. To go with our dinners, we ordered a bottle of Moscato. Put together, our dinners were both quite enjoyable. I plan to return to experience more menu items.
