I visited Annapolis on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the best ice cream I've ever had. The staff was also very friendly.

Perfect experience at The Red Bean.
Some factors why:
Customer service, flavor selection (blending), quality ingredients, general environment, local quality coffee beans, etc.
And the price was reasonable, spent 11$ for two scoops of premium ice cream, which is a lot better than 8$ a scoop which can be found in town.

Just not good ice cream. So many great options in Annapolis and this one is not good. Additionally, punk teenagers behind the counter are generally rude. We’re local, have been here too many times, and we’ve had it.

I got a banana oreo DF vanilla base cup, and my partner got a raspberry oreo DF vanilla base cup. They were great, and we loved that the place uses fresh fruit. Cute seating, especially in the raised window area.
Only complaint is my coffee didn’t taste at all of the flavor syrup I got.

Always love to patronize local establishments over chains, but this was a miss the day we stopped in. Definitely appreciated the three servers who were working their tails off, but it was clear they were severely understaffed. The wait for simple orders was over 30 mins, orders weren't being filled in the sequence they were taken, patrons had no clear place to wait in line or off to the side for their orders, the AC was struggling. When we finally got our order, the ice cream was melted and the coffee was meh. The store also had random displays of store-bought snacks and candy for sale (some nearing expiration), which gave the whole place a strange vibe. Truly wanted to like this place but will just skip it the next time we're in town.

I had a great ice cream here. I don't like ice cream much. Only I eat vanilla soft ice-cream rarely. But I can say this time it was my best ice cream waffle cone. Whenever I visit this city, I would love to come and have this ice cream. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture.

This ice cream is legit. Not loaded with sugar, yet had a really deep taste. Large portion, so it could easily be shared if you're scared of the price. It seems like soft serve, but I think it's actually hard/scooped ice cream that gets whipped up and blended with whatever flavors you choose. Gives the ice cream a really nice quality regardless. Only had the ice cream and nothing else, so can only speak on the ice cream - (we had banana mango swirl). Already thinking about returning to Annapolis just for this ice cream
