My family and I visited the Akira Ramen and Izakaya Restaurant in Bel Air, Maryland yesterday afternoon. The occasion was in celebration of our daughter’s 34th birthday. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted and quickly seated. Our waiter provided us boosters seats for my two granddaughters; menus; two large carafe’s of ice water; napkins and plates. We were very impressed with the large selection of appetizers, sushi platters, drinks and desserts. The food was simply DELICIOUS !! Not even a morsel remained on our plates. I highly recommend Akira Ramen and Izakaya of Restaurant of Bel Air, Maryland. This will be our go to place for Japanese foods. The staff is very polite; large menu selection; reasonably priced; and the food is delicious. 🤗🥰

Like all things from Japan, this restaurant is top notch. The staff is friendly, attentive and respectful. I picked up my food to go and knew it would be good as soon I interacted with the staff. The “Udon Don” was incredibly tasty. The dragon roll was also delicious. This makes me want to book my 2nd trip to Japan.

A decent location but I'll stick to towson and whitemarsh akira ramen. I ordered gyoza, sesame balls, shrimp tempura, kaarage don and brown sugar Boba. Everything was delicious and fresh *except* the kaarage don which was dry, overcooked, and very salty.

Took my husband here for Father’s Day this year, our server was very kind and attentive! I ordered edamame for this first time and quickly found out I didn’t like it lol I was just going to have him remove the plate but he immediately said he will take it off the bill. I thought that was very sweet and definitely not necessary but when a business goes the extra mile to please a customer I can really respect that. We all enjoyed our meal and the sushi was fabulous! Definitely give this place a try!

Today, we came in to celebrate our oldest’s birthday. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate everything we asked for, extra plates, even bringing us out a candle for our cake, and all the other staff singing along for her birthday!
