First off their choice of music was loud and crazy, too bright lights, but food and service were exceptional. In evenings the lights are bright like daytime. I have spoken to others who have same complaint. The hostess said the owner likes it bright! He is not the customer and his concern should be their opinion.!!
As always at any of the Barrett establishments, a well paced , delicious, and professionally serviced evening.
My food was perfect. My friend's food came out lukewarm. But when told about it staff corrected the problem and customer service was great. Barrett's remains one of my favorite restaurants.
I came for restaurant week with my family. Firecracker shrimp and blackened pasta was amazing! Definitely will be back.
The young men who greeted us were super friendly. Our waitress, Sam, was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed her. The waitress who served us, Lindsey, was very good and friendly. Our food was delicious. It was a wonderful experience.
Overall, the experience was excellent. We went for a birthday and had cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. First off, the service was excellent for when we walked in until we left. Everyone was very attentive. We had drinks refilled and appetizers out quickly. The appetizers were nice and hot. We ordered the crab dip and the calamari and both were excellent. The cocktails were also very good. The entrees were good for the most part. The only thing I would change would be the crab cakes. They were a little small and shelly compared to other restaurants in the area. We ordered the fish of the day which was the grouper. It was seasoned well and cooked nicely. We also ordered risottos which were also very good.
I don't typically comment on restaurants unless it is exceptional, either good or bad. Unfortunately, this is the latter. This is my 2nd visit to this restaurant and I won't be back. Service: We had a reservation for 5 and they at first tried to cram us into a booth. There were two tables open, one to which they moved us after we asked them. The reservation stated “birthday celebration”, it was not noted at all. The server did not know the menu. I don't understand why they don't take care of visitors who have the forethought to make a reservation. Food: it was a brunch menu and one featured dish was a “crab cake” eggs Benedict. I ordered that dish. They delivered two hard boiled eggs on a some crab pieces, not a crab cake with some sauce and old bay on top. I asked if that was how the dish was supposed to be prepared, so they took it back and brought another. When I cut into the egg, it was the same as the first. The manager took that one back as well. Finally, a third was returned after a long wait, the egg on one was poached, not hard boiled, the other egg had only egg whites which were runny. There was a little crab on the English muffin under the egg, not a crab cake. After this process, everyone else was finished their meals. They did take this one entree off the menu with an apology. Overall: I know the restaurant business is tough, but there are some minimum levels of food and service quality that has to be met and this restaurant does not meet them.
Celebrated Father's Day at Barrett's on the PIke and was very impressed with everything! Food was fantastic, especially the Crab and Corn Chowder! We are planning on returning next week for a birthday dinner.
This was our first time at this restaurant. Our food, the herb chicken, and the shrimp and grits were good. The food was well prepared, and the presentation was excellent. If there was a negative, it'd be that my cherry margarita was on the strong side. We will definitely go back.
Everything was perfect! I had never been there for brunch and it was everything I expected. Delicious food! Fabulous service by Bailey. Eggs were delicious and the potatoes were divine.

Great food!!
2 of us had salmon and salad, another had shrimp and salad. Everything was "very good". Steph, our server was friendly and took care of us well.
Lovely place to eat.
Good shrimp and cheesy grits, like three different dessert sampler
We came for my birthday lunch. The menu is good and servers are knowledgeable. We both ordered the crab cake. It was small with a side of cole slaw. For the $25 price tag, a second side should have been included. We were both still hungry and ordered dessert.
