My first time at Barrett's and certainly not my last. The crab and sweet corn chowder was silky, replete with many chunks of lump crab, sweet corn and a flavorful cream broth. The entrees of my party were delicious and if I write anymore I will need to get on the road again to the restaurant. A must try!!

Best burger done the way I asked, crispy fries and outstanding service. Also enjoyed were the braised short ribs, the filet risotto, and the French dip sandwich. You can eat here fancy or plain and it's all delicious.

Service staff is personable and efficient. Pleasant surroundings with delicious food. Crab and corn soup is a mildly spicy treat. Salmon is also a tasty addition to any salad or as an entree. I personally enjoyed the Cesaer salad with blackened shrimp and with salmon. They are both very good.

Your prices are getting crazy, it was Friday night at 8:30 and the place was dead. While the service was great and the food was delicious, $10.00 for a cup of soup is ridiculous and $20.00 for a French dip sandwich and then $14.00 for a weak Martini is getting out of hand. I know inflation is bad but c'mon man.

We were there as a group. We had a room to ourselves. The shortened menu for the group seemed enough for everyone.It took a very long time to be served. But most did not seem to mind.

Lunch special was the soup plus half sandwich. Chfs choice was rib-tips taco. Upgraded to a full double taco for a few dollars. All very tasty. The crab & corn cream chowder has a nice kick to it. The tacos had a lot of beef tips, & were well filled. A very tasty lunch. The surroundings were nice, and clean, with most tables for four set into booths with benches.

Was expecting a brunch buffet with both breakfast and lunch items. Had to order from the menu and couldn't have a mix of breakfast and lunch items. This was brunch only to the extent that you could order breakfast or lunch.
The 3 of us got the crab & corn soup and the French Dip. The soup had plenty of spice and then they added a streak across the top which over powered the bowl. I could not finish it. Usually the soup is one of my favorite things to get but not today. The French dip was great as always.

I’m giving them 4 stars for two reasons. Breakfast burrito says filet meat in it and I was given a choice for temperature. Asked for medium and it came well. Also was not filet, the meat was very chewy. Also, I have a small service dog that stays in his stroller. If you know anything about service animals, they are well behaved. It took a while to find out if they would let us bring him in. Illegal. Then wouldn’t let us sit in bar. Then put us in a private room. Our service was excellent. We were here for brunch but not returning for this reason.

Barrett’s has been disappointing for the price. Had reservations, sat us next to the bar service station. So we heard the bartenders singing and talking the whole meal. Just wasn’t a great spot. I had a filet, it was cooked correctly but had no flavor. No type of sauce, no seasoning. And served with asparagus. No presentation. I wish we went somewhere else. My husband had herb chicken. It was pieces of chicken I. Sauce that didn’t taste like sherry and asparagus. If they want the starches to be ala crate, starches are ala carte now. No bread. Felt like I was at a diner. Don’t sit at the bar.

Restaurant ran out of coffee and had toget jugs of coffee from a nearby vendor. Pancakes had onions in them like the grill was not cleaned well. Outstanding service from our waiter who apologized over the problems on Sunday.
