I special ordered an ice cream cake with no dye products. It was absolutely delicious! Chocolate Chip and Chocolate with chocolate crunch. The grandchild and adults loved the combination. They said it was the best ice cream cake they ever had.
Thank you,

I have been shopping at Broom’s Bloom for years. It is my favorite place to meet friends for lunch. In a regular for milk, meats, cheese, ice cream, etc.

The secret cooking ingredients that perfected our 2025 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals came from Broom’s Bloom. Our three pans on lasagna were made with hand-grated fresh Broom’s mozzarella cheese. Our family tradition for dessert was an ice cream bar with peppermint and chocolate chip ice cream. The next day our delicious brunch for included egg casserole with our favorite Broom’s Italian Sausage, Broom’s whole milk, the fluffy muffins in their freezer case, chocolate milk and eggnog. My family just loved it from ages 10 months old to 85 years.

Aunt Jose’s Butter is the best ever. I used 6 pounds for baking cookies, spreading on Italian bread, garlic bread, and spreading on those fluffy English muffins.

I could go on and on about Broom’s Bloom. Thank you, Kate, and your Broom’s Bloom family for all that you do and continuing your family’s legacy. May you all be infinitely blessed and have a Happy New Year.

Broom's Bloom offers simply the best ice cream around. I look forward to getting lunch in the very near future. #buylocal

My husband and I decided to try the ice cream at Broom's Bloom today. They have a board that displays their flavors of the day. My husband ordered strawberry for himself and gingersnap for me. After paying for the ice cream, we waited for about 25 minutes before someone started the order. They were busy, but besides from that, their whole process was unorganized and chaotic. After they dished out the strawberry ice-cream, my husband saw the woman working there erase gingersnap from the board. There were 3 people looking at my husband's order. The one woman put my husband's strawberry on the counter for pick up. The woman walked around doing other things for the next 3 minutes. Finally she came over and said they were out of gingersnap. My husband immediately requested a full refund. She said she would give him the refund for the gingersnap. My husband said again that he wanted a full refund. He paid by credit card. They would not refund it on the card, they made him take cash. This whole experience was unacceptable. I will never visit or recommend this business to anyone.

Got ice cream, it was good but ordered off the menu inside and then heard other customers order flavors not on the menu and was bummed. Plenty of seating and food items!

We happened upon this place. It has an ice cream sign outside and on a snowy day I agreed that my daughter could have ice cream🤷🏻‍♀️we came in and were pleasantly surprised that they also served lunch. They also sell a a variety of farm fresh dairy and meat products. Eggs, Milk, cheeses, homemade ice tea. The quiche was really good and so was the stew. My daughter actually ate the Mac and cheese. It is a neat little eclectic spot. The icecream was amazing by the way!

Living in Florida and craving the Half & Half crab soup from Brooms and Blooms is torture. This is always my first stop when visiting Maryland!

I'm updating my 5* review from 2020 to make it more current. As of October 2025, I am decreasing it to a 3*. During the week it's still great, 5*! But they changed it now. On the weekend they have a limited menu which I just tried today. It's overpriced garbage. So if you go on the weekend now, I give it 1* only. The brisket sandwich is just ok but you can get a much better one cheaper from Mission BBQ or any local BBQ place. The hamburger is a cheap patty on a bun for $8, that's it. It's TERRIBLE! If you just want ice cream it's always great but do NOT get the apple cider slushie milkshake. I did and all I got was a vanilla shake... We paid $50 on the weekend for 2 people to get less worse tasting food. During the week we get great tasting food and it costs us about $35. I hate leaving this review, we've been going here regularly for a long time, but this is the worst it's ever been. I sincerely hope they change back sooner than later. For now we refuse to go back on a weekend.

It's a nice location and the ice cream looks good but the service is really slow for anything other than ice cream; we waited more than an hour for mac and cheese and a cheeseburger and they were rather rude and unapologetic about it.
